I can't think of any other dystopian science-fiction films that are really comprable to "A Clockwork Orange," but you might consider watching some other Kubrick films; "2001" might be a logical film with which to start, so might "Dr. Strangelove."
If that doesn't work, you might consider the best film McDowell has ever appeared in, "O Lucky Man."

Oh but this is sad. "A Clockwork Orange" is a terrible movie. Stanley Kubrick once again taking a perfectly fine book and destroying the essence by inserting his own pseudo-paranoia into the narrative.
All movies based on books are by their very nature not to be considered great movies but then again you are not saying that it was great, just that it is your favorite.
You need to really stretch your movie viewing. There are probably 30-40 better movies just from Hungary alone. I suspect most people here will bombard you with U.S.A. films liberally peppered with Tarantino films (which are all God awful piles of garbage)
That aside. Have you seen the best movie starring Malcolm McDowell? It is called "if..." and it is head and shoulders above "A Clockwork Orange".

if you havent seen the other kubrick films, i suggest you watch 2001: A Space Odyssey, The Shining, Full Metal Jacket, Dr. Strangelove or: How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb.
besides those, my favs include:
Pulp Fiction
Die Hard
The Godfather
American History X
Fight Club
Reservoir Dogs
Goodfellas
Memento
Léon
in my opinion all of these are better than a clockwork orange, but that movie has an acquired taste.

Can you be more specific? Coming close to what? Clockwork Orange is way out there. Have you checked out other Kubrick movies? Or other movies that Malcom McDowell was in...like Caligula?
Help me with this. Unless you wanna watch 'Faces of Death'.

NO. Clockwork Orange is very disturbing and has nudity as well. Lord of the Rings would be a little better.

There's a film which recently came out on DVD called "Funny Games" which strongly reminded me of "A Clockwork Orange." It's directed by Michael Haneke and stars Naomi Watts and Tim Roth. I would describe it as an intellectual horror film. Very interesting and well-made... and disturbing.
