English actor Ralph Fiennes incurred the wrath of a Belgium hotel boss after he reportedly frolicked naked in a swimming pool with four women. British newspaper The Sun reports The English Patient star, 44, and his female companions disturbed guests at the Hotel Tuilerieen in Bruges. Hotel manageress Patricia Homble says, "I wasn't happy about it." Fiennes is currently in the stunning Belgium city filming comedy In Bruges, which also stars Colin Farrell and Brendan Gleeson. Last month, Qantas flight attendant Lisa Robertson was fired from the airline after she admitted she had sex with the actor in a lavatory during a long-haul flight in January.

Farrell "Stalker" Apologizes

28 September 2006 (WENN)

The woman accused of stalking Colin Farrell told a court on Monday she was sorry for confronting the Irish actor during his appearance on America's The Tonight Show in July. Dessarae Bradford, 31, admitted her actions were over-zealous, but insists her "relationship" with the Miami Vice star was real. Bradford, who has previously written a book about her alleged affair with Alec Baldwin, believes Farrell "just wanted to be book number two." She fumed, "He's trying to give the impression that I'm some stalker, some delusional fan, which is absolutely not true." A Los Angeles Superior Court judge ruled in July Bradford must keep at least 492 feet away from Farrell until the court hearing last month. The restraining order has since been extended to 2009.

Lohan's Love Lies

9 August 2006 (WENN)

You really can't believe anything you read about Lindsay Lohan's love life because the actress makes up boyfriend stories all the time. The 20-year-old has been romantically linked with Jared Leto, actor Colin Farrell, rockers Jamie Burke and Ryan Adams, and she freely admits she lies about her romantic encounters to tease the press. Lohan tells Elle magazine, "I say things that aren't true a lot... If I was dating one person (I'd) probably tell them I was dating someone else and then I'd call my friend and be like, 'Do you mind if I say that we're dating?' I figure I'll f**k with them (tabloids), because they f**k with me." And Lohan doesn't seem to mind picking up a loose reputation as she fans the flames of speculation about her love life - she wants her boyfriend to be a one-woman man, but she hopes to keep playing the field. She adds, "If I'm going to give my body to someone, I'd rather them not be with other people, but I want to be able to (date) if I like someone else. I don't think I've had enough experience with dating one guy for a long time."

Alleged Farrell Stalker Files Lawsuit

25 July 2006 (WENN)

Dessarae Bradford, the woman who confronted actor Colin Farrell on the The Tonight Show With Jay Leno on Thursday, has filed yet another lawsuit against the star. Bradford announced yesterday she had filed a $10 million lawsuit against the actor. She also filed suit in November 2004 and again in July 2005, accusing him of sexually harassing her. Both previous suits were dismissed. At a press conference in downtown Los Angeles, Bradford defended her presence on The Tonight Show, saying her intention was to serve Farrell with a subpoena. Bradford slammed Farrell for labeling her a "stalker," claiming that was part of the basis for her slander complaint against the star. She passed out copies of her self-published book, Colin Farrell: A Dark Twisted Puppy to the 10 journalists present at the media conference. She added, "Colin has hurt me so deeply, and I'm here to disparage the rumors and lies. I am not a stalker, and he's machete-chopped my name (in public)." On Friday, Farrell was granted a temporary restraining order against Bradford, after claiming he feared for the safety of his family. The restraining order is in effect until August 16, at which time a court hearing is set to allow Bradford to respond to Farrell's grievances.

Farrell Files for Restraining Order

24 July 2006 (WENN)

Colin Farrell has filed for a restraining order against former lover Dessarae Bradford after the model attempted to confront him during his appearance on America's The Tonight Show on Thursday. Bradford, who last year accused the actor of stalking her, was allegedly removed from the taping of The Tonight Show when minders realized she was a threat to Farrell after she left her seat in the audience and started walking towards the Irishman. Now Farrell has filed a request for a restraining order in Los Angeles. In the court documents, the actor states, "I am concerned that her harassing behavior has escalated and may pose an immediate threat to my well-being and the well-being of my family." Speaking to journalists at the Los Angeles Miami Vice premiere, after the encounter with Bradford, a nervous Farrell said, "It was freaky... It was just very jarring. I've no idea what happened." According to news show Access Hollywood, Farrell helped Tonight Show security staff escort Bradford out of the studio by putting his arm around his ex, who was reportedly hoping to get the actor to sign her book Colin Farrell: A Dark, Twisted Puppy. A studio audience member who witnessed Farrell's encounter with his ex, which was removed from the taping when the show aired, says, "I think I heard her say, 'I'll see you in court tomorrow, ' and, basically, Colin's response was, 'Honey, darling, you're out of your mind.'"

Farrell Confronted by Accuser on TV Show

21 July 2006 (WENN)

Irish heartthrob Colin Farrell was confronted during filming for The Tonight Show with Jay Leno on Thursday by the woman who last year accused the Alexander actor of stalking her. Dessarae Bradford alleged that Farrell bombarded her with explicit phonecalls and text messages, but she subsequently failed a lie detector test on a US TV show. When Bradford jumped out of the audience and approached Farrell, many people thought it was a comedy sketch but when it became clear Bradford was a threat, security staff quickly removed her from the studio. Sergeant Neil Gunn of the Burbank Police Department in Los Angeles says Bradford was advised not to return to the studio or she would be arrested for trespassing. An audience member tells Access Hollywood Bradford shouted at Farrell, "I'll see you in court!" To which he replied, "You're insane!"

'Miami Vice' Film To Flop?

21 June 2006 (WENN)

The film version of 1980s TV series Miami Vice is in serious trouble after experiencing budget problems and less-than-stellar reviews, according to press reports in the US. The movie stars Oscar winner Jamie Foxx and Colin Farrell and is set for its American release on July 28. The remake cost $125 million to make. A source at Universal Pictures tells Fox News correspondent Roger Friedman, "And that's just what we're admitting to. It's probably more like $150 million." Director Michael Mann has reportedly been furiously editing the film, which apparently fails to capture the spirit of the original hit series. A source adds, "Michael still has time to fix it, but not much. But he would have to pull off a miracle to make it work."

12 June 2006 (WENN)

The Irish star, 30, is said to be "deeply in love" with the former Boston Legal actress, who also appeared last year on sci-fi TV show Surface. Farrell, who was briefly married to English actress Amelia Warner for just four months in 2001, has a two-year-old son James with ex-girlfriend Kim Bordenave. The actor's representative in Los Angeles refused to comment on rumors that the couple are dating saying, "This is a private matter."

Farrell's Ex at Risk of Further Sex Tape Lawsuit

25 April 2006 (WENN)

Colin Farrell's former lover Nicole Narain could still face a legal battle over the sex tape she filmed with the Alexander star. The former Playboy Playmate, who tried to sell the saucy recording to the Internet Commerce Group (ICG) for which she was sued by Farrell, could now be sued by ICG for refusing to release the tape. Legal bosses say the model could find herself slapped for loss of earnings by the internet firm, who promised her a six-figure sum for the video's release and 60 per cent of the profits. Farrell and Narain's lawyers reached an agreement to keep the tape under wraps last week however the actor still intends to sue ICG, with a trial set for July in Los Angeles.

Farrell and Narain Resolve Sex Tape Battle

19 April 2006 (WENN)

Irish actor Colin Farrell and his former lover Nicole Narain have reportedly reached an agreement in their sex tape battle. The Alexander star, 29, and former Playboy Playmate, 31, filmed a sexy video during their brief relationship in 2003, which Farrell accused Narain of trying to sell with Internet Commerce Group (ICG). Farrell sued Narain last summer, for allegedly planning to commercially release the 15 minute footage. The actor is also suing ICG, seeking general and compensatory damages, as well as an injunction prohibiting the promotion and sale of the tape. On Sunday, the feuding pair and their lawyers spent five hours reaching a deal, but Farrell still intends to continue his legal action against ICG. Narain's lawyer Leodis Matthews tells the New York Daily News, "It's an amicable settlement. We were able to completely resolve it. The terms are confidential." Farrell's case against ICG is set for trial in Los Angeles on July 21.

Farrell's Ex To Receive Millions If Sex Tape Is Released

17 March 2006 (WENN)

Actor Colin Farrell's ex-girlfriend, former Playboy Playmate Nicole Narain, will receive a $3 million advance payment if the sex tape the couple made together is released. The Phone Booth star is suing Narain and trying to stop the release of the sex tape they made three years ago during a brief romance. According to documents posted on website TheSmokingGun.com, Narain signed a deal with Internet Commerce Group (ICG) in October 2005, for a seven-figure payout to distribute the 14-minute video. The agreement guarantees Narain $100,000 whether or not the explicit video can be marketed, and also calls for her legal fees to be paid up to $60,000. Farrell is seeking general and compensatory damages, as well as an injunction prohibiting the promotion and sale of the tape. US Superior Court Judge Elihu Berle quashed Narain's request to have the case dismissed Monday and advised her lawyers to file a response to Farrell's suit instead.

Judge Upholds Farrell's Sex Tape Case

14 March 2006 (WENN)

Irish star Colin Farrell's sex tape lawsuit has been upheld by a US Superior Court judge. The Phone Booth star took legal action against his former Playmate girlfriend Nicole Narain for allegedly planning to commercially release the raunchy 14-minute footage they made three years ago. The video reportedly shows the movie hunk engaging in sex acts with the former model during their brief romance. But Narain has insisted the pair never agreed to keep the tape private, and hoped to have the case dismissed in order to benefit financially by its public release. However, in court yesterday Judge Elihu Berle quashed Narain's appeal and advised her lawyers to file a response to Farrell's suit instead. Farrell is seeking general and compensatory damages as well as an injunction prohibiting the promotion and sale of the tape.

Farrell Sex Tape Battle Looms

22 January 2006 (WENN)

The civil trial over the attempted distribution of actor Colin Farrell's 15-minute sex tape is to take place on July 17. The date is set a year after Farrell took legal action against his 'co-star' Nicole Narain for allegedly planning to commercially release the raunchy footage. The video reportedly shows the movie hunk engaging in sex acts with the former Playboy model during their 2003 romance. A judge also granted the Phone Booth star a restraining order banning the release or commercial exploitation of the tape. A Superior Court judge issued a temporary restraining order to prevent marketing of the tape in August, but a website earlier this month offered viewers a peek at his home-made sex until it was shut down at Farrell's behest.

Farrell Sex Tape Website Blocked

12 January 2006 (WENN)

Colin Farrell is celebrating after a website allowing surfers to view his leaked 15-minute sex tape was shut down Tuesday. The Alexander star's publicist Dancia Smith said website dirtycolin.com had violated a court order blocking the release of the footage - which allegedly shows the movie hunk engaging in sex acts with former Playboy model Nicole Narain during their 2003 romance. On the actor's behalf Smith says, "A website attempting to distribute an unauthorized tape of Colin Farrell was shut down today. Mr. Farrell will take legal action against anyone who tries to distribute this tape." Last year Farrell took Narain to court, accusing her of attempting to distribute the tape. He argued its release would harm his career, and he had never intended it for public consumption. A Superior Court judge issued a temporary restraining order to prevent marketing of the tape in August.

Site Selling Porn Tape Featuring Colin Farrell Shut Down

11 January 2006 (StudioBriefing)

A website that reportedly was selling a 15-minute video of actor Colin Farrell having sex with his onetime girlfriend, 2002 Playmate Nicole Narain, was shut down following a court order Tuesday, Farrell's publicist, Danica Smith, said in a statement. "Mr. Farrell will take legal action against anyone who tries to distribute this tape," Smith said. But almost immediately another website, www.idontlikeyouinthatway, posted blurry screen shots from the tape. It quoted the shuttered site as having declared, "Colin tried to stop us from showing you this. ... Well, here it is anyways."

Farrell Sex Tape Leaks Onto the Internet

11 January 2006 (WENN)

The sex tape Colin Farrell tried to ban has leaked onto the internet. Website DirtyColin.com claims they have the exclusive sex video featuring the actor and his ex, former Playboy model Nicole Narain. The Irish star took Narain to court last year in a bid to keep the sexploits from prying eyes. But in a posting on the website, DirtyColin.com states, "Colin tried to stop us from showing you this... Well, here it is anyway." The home page features still shots of people they claim are Farrell and Narain making love. The couple made a 15-minute sex tape three years ago, and agreed to keep the footage for private use only. Farrell sued Narain and porn website marketing director Paul Nash, claiming his career and public image would be irreparably damaged if the video got out. A judge issued a temporary restraining order to prevent the actor's ex-girlfriend from marketing the tape in August.

Malick Explains 'New World' Recall

11 January 2006 (WENN)

Latest: Director Terrence Malick withdrew latest film The New World from cinema screens just days after its release because he was convinced it needed more editing. The bizarre recall came just nine days after the historical drama made its debut in U.S. movie houses, but Malick is confident his cuts will be beneficial. The Colin Farrell film, which focuses on the clash between native Americans and English settlers in the seventeenth century, has been cut by the Texan director by 17 minutes. The revised version will be released on January 20th.

Foxx Puts Up Farrell

22 December 2005 (WENN)

Jamie Foxx has laughed off reports his Miami Vice co-star Colin Farrell had checked into a rehabilitation clinic to control an addiction to prescription drugs, insisting he's staying with him at his Hollywood home. Earlier this month, Farrell's publicist Dancia Smith said the 29-year-old star was being treated for exhaustion and dependency on prescription medication. But Foxx, 38, insists relaxation with friends was the only treatment Farrell ever needed. He says, "Colin Farrell is great. Don't believe all of the hype. He is at my crib kicking it. That's where he was anyway. All the rehab stuff is (false). They have done so much to this guy. I just really want to protect people like that. But sometimes they are after him because he is such a nice guy, he is so fun loving and loves the world."

Farrell Fights Off Overdose Reports

14 December 2005 (WENN)

As Irish actor Colin Farrell recovers from exhaustion, he's fighting off a fresh set of reports suggesting he was hospitalized after taking an overdose. The Alexander star's publicist announced yesterday he had entered a treatment centre suffering from exhaustion and dependency on prescription medication, which was prescribed to him after he sustained a back injury. But as Farrell takes time out, he's now been hit with reports that he was rushed to an emergency room in Uruguay on Friday after suffering an overdose. A radio station in the South American country reports that traces of marijuana, cocaine and an unidentified substance were found in his blood when he was treated. Farrell's publicist vehemently denies the reports.

Craig Is Bond, Says His Mother

14 October 2005 (WENN)

The mother of Daniel Craig unveiled her son as the new James Bond, hours before movie bosses officially reveal the identity of the latest actor to play the spy. Proud Carol Blond is overjoyed her boy has beaten a vast list of screen idols, including Colin Farrell and Ewan McGregor, to win the coveted 007 role. She says, "We're thrilled to bits. This has come at a very good time in his career. He has worked hard all his life and this will be his most famous part. It will be life-changing, but I think he is old enough and experienced enough to handle it." Bond film-makers will officially confirm which actor will take over from Pierce Brosnan, at 52 considered too old to play the secret agent, at a press conference later Friday, ending more than a year of speculation. Filming on the new movie, an adaptation of Sir Ian Fleming novel Casino Royale, begins in January - directed by Martin Campbell.

Farrell and Hilton Sell Themselves for Hurricane Victims

7 September 2005 (WENN)

Colin Farrell helped raise $20,000 at an auction to aid the victims of Hurricane Katrina - by selling himself on Friday. Miami Vice co-star Jamie Foxx took bids for a date with Farrell and when nervous women weren't forthcoming at the Delano Hotel charity bash in Miami Beach, Florida, decided to ask for group bids. One bunch of 10 friends bid $10,000 for a date with the Irishman, while another woman doubled the bid for her own one-night stand. And generous Farrell helped boost the fund too - he paid $50,000 for a portrait of Ray Charles. Meanwhile, fellow human auction item Paris Hilton was brought to tears when one fan bid $200,000 to spend New Year's Eve with the socialite. She said, "It's so generous. I'm crying right now."

Farrell Not So Macho

2 September 2005 (WENN)

Colin Farrell has been embarrassed by his old schoolmates, who have shattered his tough image by insisting he used to be a posh "mummy's boy." The claims, which appear in Jane Kelly's unauthorised biography Colin Farrell: Living Dangerously, have unhinged the screen hunk's carefully crafted image, and his old pals are particularly amused by his strong Irish accent - which he never used to have. Childhood friend Peter Barry remembers, "He was seen as effeminate. They thought he was a sissy so he got picked on." Former pal Ritchie Molloy snipes, "He pretends he's from a tough part of Dublin but he's not." Another former schoolmate adds, "Colin sounds quite broad Dublin these days but everyone knows he's posher than he makes out."

Xena Escapes Hurricane Katrina

30 August 2005 (WENN)

Xena: Warrior Princess star Lucy Lawless is still recovering from a nightmare escape from New Orleans, Louisiana, to avoid Hurricane Katrina. The New Zealander fled the city, where she's shooting new movie Vampire Bats, when officials issued a mandatory evacuation alert over the weekend, as the category five storm threatened. But Lawless wasn't the only person heeding the evacuation advice and leaving the city. She says, "The traffic was going one-mile-per hour sometimes, then it was two-miles-per hour, then five. It took nine hours for what should have taken 50-55 minutes." But the actress isn't complaining - she's concerned for those who couldn't get out of the city in time. She adds, "I just realized all those people in incredibly low-lying areas are in such threat. I just worry about them. "I love this town, I love the heat. I was afraid of coming, working in sweltering heat and swamps, but it's just been pure joy. I would move here if I could work here all of the time." Oscar winner Hilary Swank was another star who managed to get out of the path of the hurricane just in time - work on her new unnamed thriller was halted over the weekend. Meanwhile, Jamie Foxx and Colin Farrell were given a few days off last week when shooting on their Miami Vice movie was stopped in Florida as the hurricane - then a category one storm - hit beach communities in Miami.

Lohan and Keys Stranded As Katrina Threatens VMAs

26 August 2005 (WENN)

Lindsay Lohan and Alicia Keys are among the stars left stranded as tropical storm Katrina threatens to ruin Sunday's MTV Video Music Awards in Miami, Florida. The singers failed to make it to Miami Beach before all flights in and out of the beach city were cancelled due to driving rains and strong winds. And, with weather experts predicting the storm could become a hurricane later today, it's not known when normal service at local airports will be resumed. An MTV spokesman says, "The good news is that many of the performers and guests are already in Miami." Meanwhile, Colin Farrell and Jamie Foxx's Miami Vice remake has become the latest victim of the storm, which has already forced Sean 'Diddy' Combs to cancel a record label launch party. The set of the film has been temporarily closed and shuttered to let the storm pass.

Farrell Sex Tape Restraining Order Extended

12 August 2005 (WENN)

Colin Farrell has triumphed in having a temporary restraining order extended against ex-lover Nicole Narain - preventing her from distributing their scandalous sex tape. Last month Farrell filed suit against the former Playboy Playmate, accusing her of taking the video to the press, even though they had reportedly agreed not to allow it into the public arena. Los Angeles Superior Court Judge David Yaffe initially placed a temporary ban on Narain from selling, distributing or showing anyone the raunchy film, but he extended the order on Wednesday. Narain's lawyer Leodis Matthews insists the 31-year-old model has no intention of using the tape for profit, but wants to keep her half of the rights to the saucy film.

Playmate Narain Joins Farrell in Sex Tape Fight

26 July 2005 (WENN)

Colin Farrell and his ex-lover Nicol Narain have secretly spoken about their sex tape which has become the subject of a scandalous lawsuit - because the Playboy Playmate wanted the actor to know she never leaked it. Sexy Narain is appalled by press reports connecting her to the leak, which she filmed with Farrell's permission when they were a couple, but she wanted to speak to the Irishman before firing back. Now she insists that, like Farrell, she has no idea how the 15-minute tape got into the wrong hands and she's joining forces with her ex to keep it from going public. She says, "I don't want it out there any more than Colin does. It was something that was made privately between me and him and it's just unfortunate that the situation is the way it is right now. We're both in the same boat... It's very unexpected. We both feel the same way - neither one of us want it out there." Farrell has slapped a restraining order on sex tape broker David Hans Schmidt, who plans to release the saucy film as a DVD.

Farrell Gets Restraining Order Over Sex Tape

21 July 2005 (WENN)

A US court has granted Colin Farrell a restraining order against a former lover allegedly trying to sell a video of them having sex. Farrell claims the video was made two and a half years ago in private and that he and model Nicole Narain had an agreement not to share its contents. The 29-year-old is suing Narain, 31, alleging she approached the media and offered them the 15-minute tape - and he argues the release of the tape would greatly harm his reputation and career. The Alexander hunk convinced a Los Angeles Superior Court judge on Tuesday to ban Narain from selling, showing or distributing it. The next court hearing is due to take place in Los Angeles on 10 August - where Farrell will seek an injunction forbidding the sale and distribution of the tape.

Farrell Sues To Block Sex Tape

20 July 2005 (WENN)

Irish actor Colin Farrell has filed a lawsuit against his ex-girlfriend Nicole Narain, accusing her of trying to distribute and profit from their "intimate" sex tape. According to the Tigerland star's legal papers, filed on Monday in Los Angeles Superior Court, the 15 minute video was made by Farrell, 29, and model-actress Narain, 31, more than two years ago, with the agreement that they would never release it to the public. Farrell is seeking general and compensatory damages as well as a temporary restraining order and injunction prohibiting the promotion and sale of the tape. In his papers, Farrell accuses Playboy beauty Narain of trying to distribute the tape through an intermediary. He also alleges that Narain has been working with the owner of an internet porn business and contacting the news media about the tape, which his papers claim are an "outrageous attempt to capitalize on the celebrity" of the actor. The lawsuit states that the release of the videotape would irreparably harm Farrell's reputation and career, and he is demanding that all copies of the tape be returned to him.

Farrell in Sex Tape Claim

18 July 2005 (WENN)

Movie hunk Colin Farrell has been accused of making a raunchy sex tape with his former girlfriend, Playboy model Nicole Narain. A member of the public, who refers to himself as JJ, contacted gossip website PageSix.com claiming he'd obtained the pornographic home movie but could do nothing with it until its stars have signed release forms. JJ alleges the tape begins with Narain in the nude in her living room switching on some music, and supposedly concludes with the camera focusing on her white cat, with Farrell saying, "Baby, you have the most beautiful (p***y)." The video also reportedly features Farrell and Narain trying out various saucy Kama Sutra positions, with the actor saying, "I could do this breakfast, lunch and dinner." Showbiz website Defamer.com says, "The sellers are supposedly looking for a seven-figure up front fee to hand over the tape for release by a distributor. Even if someone was willing to pony up the money, they couldn't release it without Farrell's permission."

The invited guests, who included raunchy rapper Lil' Kim, were entertained by a band playing Ray Charles songs, before singing "Happy Birthday" to Farrell as he blew out candles on a rum cake.

Farrell Begged 70-Year-Old Actress for Sex

4 May 2005 (WENN)

Actor Colin Farrell has been left red-faced after 70-year-old actress Dame Eileen Atkins boasted she recently rejected his desperate requests for casual sex. Cold Mountain star, Atkins revealed the Irish lothario spent nearly three hours begging her to sleep with him, but despite his stunning looks, she turned him down because he is 42 years her junior. She explains, "Three weeks before my 70th birthday, a simply stunning, gorgeous big film star came into my hotel room for sex without strings. I spent two and a half hours saying no, but it cheered me up fantastically. "I said no, in the end because he said, 'The reason you won't do it is because your body isn't as good as it was when you were young, isn't it? But I don't care about that.' "But I'm too proud of how I looked when I was younger. My body is still the same weight, but it's all distributed in a different way." The actress initially intended to spare Farrell's blushes by keeping his identity secret, but her agent says, "I can confirm that it is Colin Farrell that made the advance." Atkins and Farrell met during filming of movie Ask The Dust which hits cinemas later this year.

Farrell's Accuser Takes TV Lie Detector Test

26 April 2005 (WENN)

The woman who alleged Colin Farrell was stalking her has agreed to take a lie detector test on American TV to prove she isn't lying. Dessarae Bradford accuses the Irish hunk of harassing her, alleging he wouldn't leave her alone after initially befriending her, but her $5,000 lawsuit against the Irishman was dismissed by a Los Angeles court last week . But she still maintains she's the victim - and she has appeared on US show Lie Detector to prove it. The former sex chat worker says, "He's a big movie star to most but, to me, he was a pest." Bradford tells the show that she allegedly passed on her cell phone number to Farrell, who rang up $300 of charges on the phone, and then made and cancelled a number of dinner appointments. But when Lie Detector host Rolonda Watts told Bradford that the test proved she was a liar, the accuser turned nasty. She fumed, "I really don't care what anyone believes because Colin knows. (This is) a Hollywood fake TV show, it doesn't mean anything... Colin's a paid whore of Hollywood and so are you... I might be a liar but I'm not a whore."

Farrell Stalker Case Dismissed

22 April 2005 (WENN)

A lawsuit that alleges A Home at the End of the World and S.W.A.T. star Colin Farrell is a stalker has been dismissed in Los Angeles. Dessarae Bradford accused the Irish hunk of harassing her, alleging he wouldn't leave her alone after initially befriending her. In a lawsuit filed late last year, Bradford claimed Farrell caused her mental anguish and demanded $5,000 from the star, plus the return of artwork and an erotic tape. But a Los Angeles judge has thrown the case out of court after hearing Farrell had never even met the accuser.

Farrell Accuser Fails Lie Detector Test

8 April 2005 (WENN)

The woman who accused Colin Farrell of stalking her is convinced the Irish lothario persuaded TV bosses to belittle her claim in a new show about her allegations - in which she fails a lie detector test. Former sex-chat-line worker Dessarae Bradford agreed to take a polygraph test on US network PAX-TV's Lie Detector show, to prove she was telling the truth when she filed a lawsuit alleging Farrell tormented her with lewd phone calls and text messages. But when the program's host Rolonda Watts told Bradford the machine had proved she was lying, Bradford called her a whore and accused the Phone Booth hunk of bribing the show's bosses to undermine her claims. Bradford, who's currently promoting her self-published book Colin Farrell: A Dark Twisted Puppy, fumes, "I was set up. I think Colin's lawyer and the people who handle his image have spent tens of thousands of dollars to manipulate the outcome of the show. He became obsessed with me, so they tried to chew me up in the Hollywood machine." But Watts counters, "She called me a Hollywood whore. It's the first time I've ever wanted to walk out of an interview. I wanted to jump across that table and strangle her." Executive producer Mark Phillips laughs, "Yes, Colin Farrell paid me $2 million, and he gave me a cashier's check." Farrell's rep adds, "We don't know her. As far as I know, her case was dismissed in Santa Monica City Court on March 24." Bradford and her Los Angeles lawyer Sean Bral have vowed to refile the lawsuit against Farrell in a higher court.

Mann Ready for Bad Boy Farrell

14 March 2005 (WENN)

Miami Vice director Michael Mann is staying one step ahead of his hellraising star Colin Farrell on the set of the new movie - he's prepared for whatever trouble the actor gets in. Mann - who wrote and produced the 80s TV series on which the film is based - is even convinced Farrell will corrupt his Oscar-winning co-star Jamie Foxx. The movie maker jokes to Pagesix.Com, "I need a budget item for a bail bondsman - for both of them."

Rock and Penn Clash Over Law

1 March 2005 (WENN)

Oscars host Chris Rock infuriated 2004 winner Sean Penn at Sunday night's Academy Awards, when he doubted the acting ability of Penn's latest co-star Jude Law. The comedian placed Law as a 'second choice' for casting agents after Tom Cruise in between award presentations at the ceremony in Hollywood's Kodak Theater. Rock said, "You want Tom Cruise and all you can get is Jude Law? Wait. You want Russell Crowe and all you can get is Colin Farrell? Wait. Alexander is not Gladiator. You want Denzel Washington and all you can get is me? Wait. Denzel's a fine actor. He would have never made Pootie Tang." When Penn arrived on stage to present the Best Actress trophy to Hilary Swank, he took time to defend Law, his co-star in All The King's Men, which is currently filming in New Orleans, Louisiana. Penn says, "Jude is one of our finest actors. What Jude and all other talented actors know is that for every great, talented actor, there are five actresses who are nothing short of magic." Backstage, Rock said he had spoken to Penn about their disagreement. He explains, "Sean said because he's working with Jude on a movie right now he felt the need to... I don't know. It's kind of funny."

Farrell Served at Traffic Lights

28 February 2005 (WENN)

Colin Farrell is heading to court after finally being served by the attorney for a woman accusing the actor of harassment and stalking at traffic lights in Hollywood. Dessarae Bradford is demanding $5,000 from the Irishman for "harassment, stalking, mental anguish, stress, and cell phone minutes" after claiming the S.W.A.T star once pestered her. Earlier this month, Bradford was given a month to properly serve the actor or risk having to give up her case against him after she appeared in court in Santa Monica, California, without having properly served Farrell. Bradford's attorney, Michael Henderson, claims to have served Farrell on Friday after following him from the set of a movie he's currently shooting. Henderson states he handed Farrell notice of the action against him through his open window when his car stopped at traffic lights. In her suit, Bradford is also demanding the return of artwork and an erotic tape. Farrell's representatives insist the Irishman has never even met his accuser. The small claims matter will be settled in court on March 17.

Luhrmann's 'Alexander' To Be Made After All?

25 February 2005 (WENN)

Baz Luhrmann's scrapped Alexander the Great movie may be made after all - after the disappointing response to Oliver Stone's take on the life of the Macedonian leader. The two films were due to go head to head at the box office until Luhrmann's movie - due to star Leonardo DiCaprio and Nicole Kidman - was delayed and then axed last November. But veteran producer Dino De Laurentiis has resurrected the picture, after Stone's Alexander, starring Colin Farrell and Angelina Jolie, attracted unfavorable reviews from critics and cinemagoers. The 85-year-old movie maker says, "It will be the Alexander that everyone has been waiting for. I don't want to hit out against Oliver Stone, who merits respect. But his picture was certainly flawed, and was missing the spine of a screenplay."

Farrell Accuser Reprimanded in Court

18 February 2005 (WENN)

The woman accusing Colin Farrell of stalking her has been given a month to properly serve the Irish actor or risk having to give up her case against him. Desarrae Bradford appeared in court in Santa Monica, California, on Wednesday but was made to look stupid in front of the judge when it became clear she hadn't followed the correct procedure to bring a case against Farrell. Bradford filed a handwritten lawsuit against Farrell in September, alleging the movie star pestered her with phone calls and accusing him of harassment and stalking - but it became clear at yesterday's hearing that she hadn't actually served the actor. Bradford was given one month to properly serve Farrell, or the case will be dismissed. The actor's accuser is demanding $5,000 from the star, plus the return of artwork and an erotic tape. Farrell's representatives insist the Irishman has never even met Bradford. The actor wasn't in court for the hearing.

Foxx and Farrell's Chemical Reaction

15 February 2005 (WENN)

Jamie Foxx can't wait to start work with Colin Farrell on a film version of Miami Vice because the actors have already built up a formidable off-screen chemistry following several meetings with director Michael Mann. The Oscar-nominated Ray star knows working with the Irish wildman will be a hell-raising experience - but he's convinced they will be the envy of mankind when the remake hits cinemas next year. Foxx says, "The chemistry between us is already there, like it was with me and Tom Cruise in Collateral, so making this movie is going to be a total blast. And it's going to redefine cool. You're going to see our Crockett and Tubbs suits and be like, 'I want those.' You'll see our car and you'll go, 'I want one of those.' And as for our woman, man, you're gonna be like, 'Now I gotta get me some of that.'"

Farrell's Laughing Off Phone Pest Claims

20 January 2005 (WENN)

Colin Farrell is laughing off a handwritten lawsuit filed by a Los Angeles woman, who claims he pestered her with phone calls. Dessarae Bradford has accused the Irish hunk of harassment and stalking her, alleging he wouldn't leave her alone after initially befriending her. In a lawsuit filed in Santa Monica, California, Bradford claims Farrell has caused her mental anguish, and she's demanding $5,000 from the star, plus the return of artwork and an erotic tape. One of Farrell's representatives says, "He has never met her, never even heard of her." Meanwhile, American scandal show Celebrity Justice has discovered Bradford is the same woman who penned a book about her alleged sex encounters with Alec Baldwin - allegations Baldwin and his representatives deny.

Jackman Favorite for Bond Role

19 January 2005 (WENN)

Australian actor Hugh Jackman has emerged as favorite to become the next James Bond, with bookmakers tipping him to take over from departing 007 Pierce Brosnan. Leading British bookmakers Ladbrokes and William Hill are offering odds of 2/1 on the Swordfish star slipping into the superspy's famous tuxedo for his next big screen outing - ahead of Closer star Clive Owen and third favorite Ewan McGregor. A Ladbrokes spokesperson says, "Hugh Jackman certainly appears to be the punters choice but we've seen more twists than the average Bond movie. At one point or another, Colin Farrell, Colin Salmon, Dougray Scott, Eric Bana and Ewan McGregor have been subject to serious support for the role." A decision on who will replace Brosnan has been delayed while a power struggle wages between Bond movie makers the Broccoli family and MGM over who should be offered the role. The spokesperson adds, "Who takes on the role could well depend on who comes out top in the power struggle behind the scenes. If the Broccoli family win we could well see an unknown actor, while if the money men have their way we could see a top star in the role. Last year, a source told us that the producers had a list of ten actors that they were looking at."

Farrell Sued Over Dirty Phone Calls

17 January 2005 (WENN)

Colin Farrell is being sued by a model who is suffering from "mental anguish" after he plagued her with sordid phone calls. The Alexander star, 28, reportedly inundated former sex chat line worker Dessarae Bradford with more than 500 filthy text messages since September - boasting of his sexual conquests and indulging in phone sex. Bradford - who claims Farrell's antics left her feeling degraded - is suing him for "breach of contract, return of erotic tape and art, cost of dress, shoes and accessories" and wants $4,750 in damages when her bid is heard in California's Santa Monica small claims court on February 16. She says, "In the beginning it was cute. As we built our relationship I started to realize there was something deeply and darkly wrong with him. I spent hours on the phone with him talking him through his hangovers and sexual escapades. Sometimes we even had phone sex. It started out as a lot of fun. He told me he wanted to meet me... But as fate would have it, Colin stood me up."

Jolie and Farrell Attraction Almost Led to Romance

9 January 2005 (WENN)

Angelina Jolie and Colin Farrell were so close to becoming lovers they discussed the possibility of dating - but decided their personalities are too similar. The Alexander co-stars were rumored to have started dating during the filming of the epic movie but Jolie claims they refrained from consummating their mutual attraction at the last moment. Jolie says, "Colin and I did discuss the idea of dating. He is a very interesting man and artist. But we've also talked about how we're maybe too similar. So at this point we're just great friends."

Lindsay's Dad Checks Into Rehab for Christmas

12 December 2004 (WENN)

Lindsay Lohan's father Michael has checked himself into a New York rehab facility after pleading guilty to assaulting family members. Lohan was arrested last week for violating a protection order filed by his estranged wife Dina, Lohan's manager and mother. Earlier this year Lohan attacked his brother-in-law at a family party and he verbally attacked his daughter as she fought a mystery illness in a Los Angeles hospital, blaming her partying ways for her bad health. Lindsay will next be seen onscreen in the comedy Herbie: Fully Loaded and made an appearance this weekend opposite Colin Farrell on Saturday Night Live.

Farrell Tells Kids to Behave

8 December 2004 (WENN)

Irish actor Colin Farrell has mocked his own hellraising lifestyle, by appearing in a mock public service announcement urging children not to drink or smoke. Farrell's love of booze, cigarettes and women has won the screen hunk as much attention as his acting skills, and he decided to star in a fake ad denouncing his lifestyle. In the clip, which was taped for comedian Jay Leno's chat show, the Phone Booth says, "Kids, be sure you stay away from cigarettes, don't drink alcohol and stay in school." But things soon take a less wholesome turn when he adds, "Actually, I rather like cigarettes, so how about don't drink alcohol and stay in school? Hmmm... All right, just stay in school!" Farrell ends the clip by taking a swig from a bottle of beer.

Lawyers Shelve 'Alexander' Lawsuit

1 December 2004 (WENN)

Greek lawyers have shelved their lawsuit against the makers of epic film Alexander, who have claimed warrior Alexander The Great was bisexual. The furious lawyers had insisted the legendary conqueror was heterosexual, and threatened to sue film studio Warner Bros and director Oliver Stone unless a credit was added to the movie to make it clear actor Colin Farrell is portraying a fictional version. But now the legal team has retracted its request to delay the film's Greek opening last Friday, so they can watch a preview screening of it. Yannis Varnakos, spokesman for the 25 lawyers, says, "We would have reacted the same was if the issue didn't involve homosexuality. We just don't want a distortion of historical facts."

Farrell and Hilton's Intimate Encounter

30 November 2004 (WENN)

Irish lothario Colin Farrell reportedly enjoyed a romantic liaison with American socialite Paris Hilton last week. The Phone Booth hunk was promoting his new film Alexander when he bumped into the blonde heiress, who was being filmed for Barbara Walters' TV show The Ten Most Fascinating People Of 2004. A source tell Scotland's Daily Record newspaper, "Colin is a lot hotter in person and Paris was unbelievably sweet. But it was not clear, though, whether the couple had previously arranged a meeting or it was just coincidence. Still, what happens when the two most oversexed people on the planet get together - they continued the party, alone, after the cameras shut off." Hilton has been romantically linked to a host of famous men, including Backstreet Boy Nick Carter, former porn star Simon Rex, Leonardo DiCaprio, Jamie Kennedy, Sum 41 singer Deryck Whibley and Australian Idol contestant Rob Mills. Meanwhile, Farrell has a baby son James with ex-love Kim Bordenave.

Movie Reviews: 'Alexander'

24 November 2004 (StudioBriefing)

It will be Alexander against the critics over the Thanksgiving Day holiday. So far, the conqueror appears to be taking a gory beating from every side. "Not just a bad movie but a bad movie of truly epic proportions," is the way Geoff Pevere describes it in the Toronto Star. Eleanor Ringel Gillespie in the Atlanta Journal-Constitution calls it "a Big Fat Greek Bust." Despite all the pre-release discussion about Alexander's supposed bisexuality depicted in the film, Manohla Dargis in the New York Times suggests that Oliver Stone's depiction of the Greek warrior is really all about his "running away from his mother," portrayed by Angelina Jolie, she says, as a monstrous "kvetch." Jack Mathews in the New York Daily News concludes that after watching the movie he now understands how Alexander conquered most of the known world by age 25: "He may have bored everyone into submission. I would have surrendered in the first of the film's nearly three long hours." Colin Farrell, in the title role, takes some direct attacks as well. "Sporting a dreadful blond pageboy and a micro-mini toga ... Colin Farrell looks more like Alexander the Fabulous than Alexander the Great." Likewise, Wesley Morris observes in the Boston Globe: that the movie "is full of brilliant highlights, and they're all in Colin Farrell's hair." Stephen Hunter in the Washington Post writes that Farrell "overacts with the wah-wah-wahs gushing," But those involved in the making of the film do find an ally in Michael Wilmington of the Chicago Tribune, who describes it as "vast, riveting, [and] madly audacious." And Roger Ebert in the Chicago Sun-Times suggests that director Stone deserves an "A" for effort. "I have always admired Oliver Stone's courage in taking on big, challenging films, and his gift for marrying action and ideas," he writes. However, he continues, in Alexander," his urgency outraces his narrative; he gives us provocative notes and sketches but not a final draft. The film doesn't feel at ease with itself. It says too much, and yet leaves too much unsaid."

Greek Lawyers May Sue Over Gay Scenes in 'Alexander'

22 November 2004 (StudioBriefing)

A group of Greek lawyers, maintaining that no historical document mentions that Alexander the Great ever engaged in homosexual acts, has threatened to sue director Oliver Stone and Warner Bros. unless the title credits for Alexander mention that the film is fiction. "We are not saying that we are against gays," Yannis Varnakos, one of the lawyers, told Britain's Guardian newspaper. "But we are saying that the production company should make it clear that the film is pure fiction and not a true depiction of the life of Alexander." In the film, Alexander, portrayed by Colin Farrell, is depicted as having lovers of both sexes.

Greek Lawyers Attack 'Alexander' Bisexual Claims

21 November 2004 (WENN)

The makers of Colin Farrell's upcoming epic Alexander are facing the threat of lawsuit, for claiming warrior Alexander The Great was bisexual. A group of furious Greek lawyers insist the legendary conqueror was heterosexual, and they're now looking into suing film studio Warner Bros and director Oliver Stone for claims to the contrary. Yannis Varnakos, spokesman for the 25 lawyers, tells Reuters, "We are not saying that we are against gays, but we are saying that the production company should make it clear to the audience that this film is pure fiction and not a true depiction of the life of Alexander." The group has sent an extrajudicial note insisting that the studio include a reference in the credits saying the movie is fictional. While Varnakos and his group of Greek attorneys haven't actually seen the epic, they say they have gathered enough evidence to know there are "inappropriate references" to Alexander's sexuality. Varnakos says that Stone has the right to freely express himself - but the audience has the right to know the director is tampering with history. He adds, "We cannot come out and say that (former US) President John F. Kennedy was a shooting guard for the Los Angeles Lakers basketball team and so Warner cannot come out and say Alexander was gay." Alexander opens in America on November 24.

Farrell Rejects Bad Boy Reputation

18 November 2004 (WENN)

Hollywood star Colin Farrell has blasted the media for portraying him as a hedonistic bad boy who spends his life drinking, smoking, swearing and doing drugs. The Minority Report hunk - who recently hailed his past heroin abuse - is furious his honest, often foul-mouthed approach to interviews has prompted journalists to label him a hell-raiser, because in reality he's just "a big softie". And Farrell insists the only time he gives cause for newspapers to criticize him is when they hassle him during his time off - an intrusion that never fails to spark his temper. He says, "If I come into a room and I've had a few drinks and a few cigarettes and say f**k, it doesn't mean anything. At times it seems I'm trying to perpetuate this image of being a tough guy but that has never been a focus of mine. It's because I'm an actor and I have a beer and I say, 'This is my day off. I'm not shooting today. This is my f**king day off.'"

Connery Wants McGregor As Bond

18 November 2004 (WENN)

Ewan McGregor should be the next James Bond, according to former 007 star Sir Sean Connery. Star Wars actor McGregor was recently reported to be in negotiations to take over from Pierce Brosnan as the super spy - and Connery thinks he'd be a great choice if he's brave enough to take on the role. Connery tells Pagesix.Com , "He's very good. He should do it if he wants to do it. But it's a bit of a poison chalice. It is slightly more difficult than people realize because it has to look very comfortable and very easy and very cool." According to media reports, McGregor is battling it out with Colin Farrell, Hugh Jackman and Jude Law for the coveted role.

Farrell Was Once Arrested for Murder

12 November 2004 (WENN)

Irish movie wildman Colin Farrell was once arrested on suspicion of murder in Australia. The Minority Report star, 28, was living in Sydney in 1994 when cops frisked and arrested him, before interrogating him for four hours. Farrell was the victim of mistaken identity and released without charge, but the incident scared him so much he flew straight back to his native Ireland. He recalls, "I was taken in and suspected of murder. I was questioned for four hours. It was the handcuffs, the mugshots and even a bit of frisking. In the end, though, it was mistaken identity - some other handsome devil with an evil bent. Christ, I was a wild lad, but murder sure hasn't been one of my pastimes." Farrell hasn't returned to Australia in the 10 years since the incident.

'Alexander' Panned

12 November 2004 (WENN)

Critics have panned new Oliver Stone movie Alexander after early previews of the historic epic. The Oscar-winning director allowed a lucky few a sneak peek of the film - which stars Colin Farrell and is due for release later this month - but critics were unimpressed and have voiced their concerns on the world wide web. One review, posted on AintItCoolNews.com, reads, "This movie is a mess. According to Stone he just finished this film on Friday and, in my opinion, it looks like he rushed it out the door. The story is incohesive, the acting is uninspired, and the whole look is incredibly pieced together." Another adds, "I was stunned - and I say that without snarky irony - stunned by how bad this movie was. Overacting, bizarro camera work and frame tinting, lackluster battles. God, it was just a mess."

Dawson Gives Colin a Black Eye

10 November 2004 (WENN)

Rosario Dawson gave her Alexander co-star Colin Farrell a black eye when a bedroom fight went too far. As temptress Roxane, Dawson had to punch and slap Farrell's Alexander The Great when he attempted to force her to have sex with him. And as the day went on, the actress's slaps got harder and harder. She explains, "I gave him a black eye. He was being really cocky about it. He was like, 'Go ahead, smack me as hard as you want, ' and I was like, 'OK.' After about 72 smacks there was this one that I just really connected with him really hard and I could feel it, and he just looked at me and he was like, 'That's the one that's going to give me a purple one later, ' and it did." Dawson is thrilled with the film, especially the scenes in which she appears scantily clad and naked. She adds, "I'll be able to look back on that when I'm 80 and I'll be like, 'I was hot when I was 24.'"

Farrell Takes Himself Out of the Running To Play 007

9 November 2004 (StudioBriefing)

Colin Farrell appears to have issued a kind of "General Sherman statement" ("If nominated I will not run; if elected I will not serve.") regarding reports that he is high on the list of candidates to become the next James Bond. "The idea of me playing James Bond got into the press, but it is not true. I would not like to do it ... they should find someone the audience has no history with," Farrell told Reuters.

Farrell Doesn't Want James Bond Role

9 November 2004 (WENN)

Colin Farrell has answered Pierce Brosnan's call for him to become the new James Bond - by declaring he doesn't want the role. Last week, Brosnan announced he would like fellow Irishman Farrell to follow in his footsteps and portray the suave spy. But Farrell tells Reuters, "The idea of me playing James Bond got into the press, but it is not true. I would not like to do it...they should find someone the audience has no history with. Anyway, Her Majesty's Secret Service wouldn't have me on the payroll." Finding a successor to Brosnan as agent 007 has been the subject of intense speculation for months, with Hugh Jackman, Jude Law and Ewan McGregor just a few in a long list of possible replacements. Brosnan fulfilled his four-film contract with Die Another Day in 2002. The next film is not slated to be released until 2006.

Brosnan Tips Farrell for Bond

3 November 2004 (WENN)

Former James Bond star Pierce Brosnan wants fellow Irishman Colin Farrell to succeed him as 007 - just months after dismissing him for the role. Brosnan was dramatically dropped as the superspy last month by studio bosses, despite wanting to appear as Bond for a fifth and final outing. In May, reacting to speculation about Farrell succeeding him as 007, Brosnan said, "Colin. No! I think he's a great actor but I don't think he's right for Bond." But at the Irish Film And Television Awards ceremony on Saturday in Dublin, Ireland, he'd evidently changed his mind: "I'll give it to Colin Farrell. He'll eat the head off them all." Brosnan also said he was in talks with director Quentin Tarantino, who is considering a remake of original Bond novel Casino Royale. He explained, "We have discussed things, Quentin and I, but I don't know if its going to be that particular project."

Brosnan May Return As Bond Again -- In Tarantino Film

2 November 2004 (StudioBriefing)

Pierce Brosnan might yet again star as James Bond after all. The Associated Press reported Monday that he has been in discussions with Quentin Tarantino about starring in a film version of Casino Royale, the only Bond novel that is not controlled by MGM and the Brocolli estate. (It had previously been filmed as a Bond spoof.) "We have discussed things, Quentin and I, but I don't know if it's going to be that particular project," Brosnan told the A.P. He also endorsed fellow Irishman Colin Farrell to succeed him as Bond in the MGM franchise.

Kidman: "Luhrmann Not Doing Alexander Film"

1 November 2004 (WENN)

Australian director Baz Luhrmann has officially dumped his delayed Alexander The Great biopic, according the film's would-be star Nicole Kidman. The Oscar-winner was set to play Olympias - the mother of Leonardo DiCaprio's Macedonian warrior Alexander - in the eagerly anticipated movie. Luhrmann announced in 2003 he was delaying the film until a 2006 release to concentrate on other projects and devote a lot more time to the film. Rival Alexander film, directed by Oliver Stone and starring Colin Farrell and Angelina Jolie, is released this month. When asked by Canadian newspaper Toronto Sun if the Moulin Rouge director was still going ahead with Alexander, Kidman replied, "No." When told many film fans were looking forward to comparing the two films and were intrigued by Luhrmann's vastly different creative approach to the story, Kidman says, "I was too (intrigued)."

Farrell's Drug Remarks Spark Outrage

22 October 2004 (WENN)

Actor Colin Farrell has enraged anti-drug campaigners by "bragging" about his past heroin use. The Irish Phone Booth hunk admits he's dabbled with hard drugs - a penchant he funded by accepting low-paid modeling jobs - and has hailed the effect heroin had on him. In a candid interview with GQ magazine, he says, "I've smoked it a couple of times, but I knew where I was going. For some reason it seemed pretty f**king nice at the time." But drug prevention workers have blasted Farrell for acting irresponsibly in the knowledge his young fans look up to him. Peter Stoker of the National Drug Prevention Alliance says, "He should not be bragging about taking heroin. Farrell is a role model for children. If he thinks it is so cool he should go to a Narcotics Anonymous meeting and see the harsh reality."

Stone: I Lost My Virginity to a Prostitute

13 October 2004 (WENN)

Director Oliver Stone lost his virginity to a prostitute, because he didn't get the opportunity to meet girls at his single-sex school. The JFK film-maker has confessed his own father set up the experience because all-boy boarding schools and summer camps meant he was never around the opposite sex long enough to develop a relationship. Stone tells Playboy magazine, "My father was a generous man and I love him to this day for it. There's a great tradition of that, I believe. For me it was great." Stone's next movie is the epic Alexander starring Colin Farrell.

Studio Denies Cutting Gay Sex Scene in 'Alexander'

7 October 2004 (StudioBriefing)

Warner Bros. on Wednesday denied a raft of Internet reports that it had ordered that homosexual sex scenes be removed from its forthcoming Alexander. starring Colin Farrell in the title role. The scenes in question also feature Francisco Bosch, in the role of a Persian eunuch named Bagoas. Reports of the deletions first appear in a gossip column by MSNBC.com's Jeannette Walls. In a letter to Walls, quoted on the MSNBC website Wednesday, Warner Bros. production chief Jeff Robinov insisted that the original story was "completely untrue." He called the Oliver Stone-directed epic an "exceptional piece of filmmaking" and insisted: "Any speculation that the studio is trying to cut scenes from Alexander based on their depiction of the sexual relationships of the lead character is false and does not accurately represent the content of the film, which portrays Alexander the Great as heroic and a man of his time and culture."

Alexander Not "Too Gay"

5 October 2004 (WENN)

Hollywood bosses have slammed reports the release of historical epic Alexander has been delayed because the movie is "too gay". Reports last week suggested Warner Bros had put back the film's release to November so they could tone down love scenes between Colin Farrell's bisexual Alexander The Great and a Persian eunuch called Bagoas - played by Francisco Bosch. But bosses at Warner insist they are thrilled with the film - and changed the release date to help its chances at next year's Oscars. Pictures President of Production Jeff Robinov tells The Scoop, "That is completely untrue. Warner Bros Pictures is proud of Alexander and thinks it is an exceptional piece of filmmaking. We've moved the release date, as we said earlier, to position it better for Academy consideration. We also want to allow ourselves more time to complete some of its ambitious visual effects. Any speculation that the Studio is trying to cut scenes from Alexander based on their depiction of the sexual relationships of the lead character is false and does not accurately represent the content of the film, which portrays Alexander the Great as heroic, and a man of his time and culture."

Did Gay Love Scenes Delay 'Alexander'?

30 September 2004 (StudioBriefing)

Warner Bros. pushed back the opening date of Oliver Stone's Alexander from Nov. 5 to Nov. 24 because it wanted Stone to cut some of the love scenes between Alexander, played by Colin Farrell and his male lover Bagoas, played by Francisco Bosch, according to MSNBC.com's "Scoop" column. It quoted an unnamed insider as saying, "Some of the suits at Warner Bros. think that the movie-going public just isn't ready to see that. ... There's some pretty heated arguments going on over it." Alexander is depicted as a bisexual in the film, which also includes heterosexual love scenes involving the title character. A Warner Bros. spokeswoman declined to discuss the report, saying "We wouldn't talk about anything involving the process of making a movie."

Farrell's Bad Hair Days

15 September 2004 (WENN)

Irish screen star Colin Farrell hated wearing a wig for his new movie so much, he deems it the lowest point of his career. The badboy actor was required to wear the hairpiece for early scenes in A Home At The End Of The World to give his character a disheveled look. But Farrell admits he was horrified by his appearance - and steered clear of his own reflection. He says, "It was like they shaved a dog, poured glue on my head and put a blow dryer on it. I wanted to cut all my scenes until we got to the scene where it's all cut off. You have no idea how bad that was. It's like going to church when I was ten. It was horrible. Somebody asked me, 'What was it like when you looked in the mirror with that wig?' I said, 'Are you kidding? Why would I look in a mirror?'"

Farrell Tested Stone's Patience After Drunken Fall

31 August 2004 (WENN)

Hellraiser Colin Farrell almost faced the wrath of movie maker Oliver Stone after breaking his ankle and his wrist with three days of Alexander still to film. The Irishman fell down a stairway after living it up at a party co-star Val Kilmer threw for the cast and crew in Thailand and passed out. He woke up in agony with broken bones, and Stone admits he came close to ruining the film's ending. The director says, "Colin came very close. He gambled. We made it. We got some fill-in shots." Stone admits that despite the drunken mishap, the Irishman was a delight to work with. He adds, "Colin's got something ancient in him and I'm really happy with what he's doing."

Farrell Will Continue To Party Hard

20 August 2004 (WENN)

Colin Farrell plans to continue partying - despite becoming a father last year. The Phone Booth star, 28, is adamant he will still indulge in his hedonistic lifestyle even though he became a dad to son James last September with ex-girlfriend Kim Bordenave. Farrell says, "I feel a greater sense of purpose now but that doesn't mean I won't have my fun. I just don't have to be loud about it."

Farrell Behaved "Like a Baby" with Jolie

9 August 2004 (WENN)

Irish hunk Colin Farrell acted "like a baby towards his mother" when he first met actress Angelina Jolie on the set of Alexander, the film's director Oliver Stone reports. Farrell plays Alexander, the King of Macedonia and Jolie plays his mother, Olympias, in the war epic - Stone was amazed by his casting, because Farrell acted like her son off-screen. Stone explains, "He was all over her. He was like the Irish boy - he wasn't Alexander and he was just falling in love with her, couldn't help himself. I was thinking: "It's the right choice, because he's behaving like a baby." She (Jolie) was laughing at him. I don't know if actors sometimes act out their desires and he wanted to be the infant to her mother. It works."

Farrell Hits Out at Drunken Reputation

22 July 2004 (WENN)

Irish wildman Colin Farrell has slammed his image as a drinking and smoking hell-raiser - insisting he's a true professional when he works. The Alexander hunk is often spotted out on the town enjoying a few beers and cigarettes, but he is adamant his vices never interfere with his work. He fumes, "The only reason people say anything about my smoking is because I'm an actor. I have a beer and I say, 'This is my day off. I'm not shooting today. I'm not working on a film.' I never come in drunk - there's too many people's hard work on the line. On my day off I might have a few beers."

Dawson Dating 'Sex and the City' Hunk?

21 July 2004 (WENN)

However, Dawson's attraction to Lewis - who played Samantha Jones' toyboy Smith Jerrod in the defunct comedy - was temporarily reduced when the actor failed to ignite the dance floor at Prive nightclub, according to website Pagesix.Com. In front of an audience including Sean 'P Diddy' Combs, Spike Lee and Busta Rhymes, Lewis sparked hilarity with a series of spectacularly uncoordinated dance moves.

Farrell: I'm Not a "Bad Boy"

16 July 2004 (WENN)

Hollywood hunk Colin Farrell has furiously slammed the Los Angeles media for criticizing his "bad language, casual sex" and beer drinking. The A Home at the End of the World star refuses to stop drinking, swearing and fornicating and complains the American media should put his wild lifestyle into perspective by looking at real bad boys like late German dictator Adolf Hitler. Farrell argues, "It doesn't take much to cause a fuss. I got the title already. Just by proxy to Ireland. You're Irish in Los Angeles and you drink a couple of pints and you're considered f***ing edgy. It doesn't take much to be a bad boy. I use bad language and I have casual sex and a few beers and all of a sudden I'm a bad boy. But I know I'm not. Hitler was a bad boy."

Luhrmann's 'Alexander' Still a Go, Says Spokeswoman

14 July 2004 (StudioBriefing)

A spokeswoman for producer-director Baz Luhrmann has denied published reports that he has pulled the plug on his Leonardo DiCaprio-starring version of Alexander the Great. E! Online quoted Maria Farmer as saying, "Baz is currently in Europe working on the final draft of his script for Alexander the Great. When he completes that draft he will decide whether Alexander is the next film on his slate." she added: "We do not know where these reports have originated from. They certainly did not come from Baz." The report originally appeared in the London Daily Telegraph and said that Luhrmann had decided to pull the plug on the movie because he wanted to spend more time with his wife, Catherine Martin, and their nine-month-old daughter. Luhrmann and Martin, a production designer, worked together last year on the Broadway version of Puccini's La Bohème, which, despite positive reviews, closed after seven months with a substantial loss to investors. Luhrmann's Alexander would bow following another epic production based on the life of the legendary warrior, starring Colin Farrell, that is currently winding up production. That Alexander is scheduled for release on Nov. 5.

Farrell Begs for Joint Custody

The Phone Booth hunk says he has been given a reason to live following the arrival of his first child, and insists he's curbed his love of drink, women and carousing in order to be a good father. And Colin says he is willing to do anything to play a big role in James' life, including being more selective about the film roles he accepts. Doting Colin says, "There are things I may have done before my son was born that I won't do anymore. He's given me a will to live I never had before. A will to stay around for a long time because I want to see him grow up. We're in the process of working out custody details and, please God, there will be shared custody. There will have to be timetables and schedules, but I will always be in his life for ever. He'll always know who his dad is. I adore him. For me, fatherhood is the ultimate success."

In the film, Farrell plays a bisexual man caught in a love triangle.

But an insider tells British newspaper the Daily Mirror, "Britney was having none of it. She just point-blank refused to meet them and they were very disappointed. She made some excuse about being too tired. It's ridiculous if she thinks she's too important to meet the offspring of a legend like Bono." The insider adds, "Some of Farrell's neighbors were there with their children and Britney had them ushered straight inside."

Chocolate Colors Rex Reed's Review

24 March 2004 (StudioBriefing)

Although New York Observer critic Rex Reed turned out a rave review for the Irish film Intermission, directed by John Crowley, his description of the movie bears little resemblance to the actual plot, New York Daily News gossip columnist Lloyd Grove observed today (Wednesday). Grove cites an email he received from a fan: "Reed writes that Colin Farrell plays Kelly Macdonald's boyfriend, when in fact Farrell plays a brutal criminal who beats her up and shoots the boyfriend. This is like confusing Anthony Hopkins with Jodie Foster in The Silence of the Lambs. ... Rex Reed is correct that the film is wonderful. Now, I recommend that he go see it." Reed told Grove that he did see the film -- six months ago at the Toronto Film Festival, taking notes on "napkins stained with chocolate [from] a Dove bar. ... I was
