Does anyone think we need a new King Arthur movie?

As a fan of all things dealing with knights and wizards, I feel like its time we need a new King Arthur motion picture. Not some adaptation where Arthur's some "Roman" I mean a legitimate movie about the actual legend. Thoughts?

You should watch Excalibur if you haven't seen it. The best film devoted to this tale ever made.

I heard they are remaking Excalibur.
I'm not sure if I want another movie with the 'mock medieval' setting, though. That may be the version we all know best but it's a late version popularised in the courts of the Norman kings. While I like medieval stuff, I'm not keen on big pointy castles and ladies in tall headdresses. Too enachronistic and too cliche.
Arthur, if he existed, did live at the end of Roman Britain. I'd like to see a film set at that period with proper period clothing but with fantasy elements in it--ie the monsters, hags, cannibal boars and other beings that were in the earliest Welsh tales of Arthur in the Mabinogion.

I quite liked the last one. A King Arthur story set in Sub Roman Britain, with the 'hero' fighting a losing battle against the incoming English/Saxons just seems more authentic to me.
If they do make a more 'fantasy' Arthurian tale, I hope they stick to closer to the old Malory/Troyes stories than First Knight did.
