I watched it today and, to be honest, I thought it was crap. I yawned so many times, which is unusual because I quite like Tim Burton films, kind of. What did you think of it?

I went to see it today too, I was actually planning to go see Avengers since everyone so far said it was great but my friends wanted to see Dark shadows.

It was the sort of film I expected, kind of creepy with some comedy with the usual actors.. Johnny Depp and Helena Bonham Carter. It was one of those films where it showed you the only funny scene/lines in the trailer, and the plot was a bit messed up - I didn't really understand it.

I mainly laughed at the raunchy bits, me and my friends being immature of course.

I thought the movie was okay, not really suitable for 12 year olds though, I give the movie 3/5 stars!

I loved it. Although i didn't laugh hilariously i giggled and hee hee'd all the way through..Depp was his usual capable and Burtonesque perfect man for the job, , he was humorous and had some great lines .

Helena Bonham was fantastic , for a second i thought it was a stunt double or typical Hollywood cut out the cost lookalike hire, but after 2 seconds,Yes that's Helena.Never accept a cheap substitute.

There was Michelle who was a bit tamed but played the stoic Gendmarme okay..Two kids reminiscent of a few other films , A cool witch - and Rorschack from the movie Watchmen as Barnaby's Igor , not as scary as he was in Watchmen..Maybe they tried to keep it separated from other Tim Burton movies , Betelgeuse etc....But i'd give it 4 / 5 stars ,especially with the rocking tunes , Alice Cooper, and hippied out community..A typical scene of drugged out 70's family at the dinner table..Keifer Sutherland would have been a good actor for that brother / thief role, that one was too reminiscent of the Dad in Betel G
