How can I have new release dvd's delivered on the date they are released by Netflix?

I am a Netflix subscriber. New DVD movies release every Tuesday; however, because they come through the mail, I haven't been able to have a new release arrive on the DATE that it releases. Is there a way to have it work this way???

Due to the fact that they can't release it prior to Tuesday and mail is unreliable, they likely will not ship the DVD until the Tuesday it is released, so you could get it Wednesday. (I have a friend who did it; she mailed her movie back so that it would arrive on Monday, on Tuesday the new release was processed and mailed, and it was at home on Wednesday.)

The new DVD are released on Tuesdays in what's called a "strict on sale" release. Usually, the DVDs aren't shipped from the wholesaler until a day or two before, so it is likely that NetFlix doesn't even have the movie for processing and distribution until just before the release date.



Sometime Amazon will get a new release in the mail a day early and you'll have it in your hands on that Tuesday, but that's usually the case either.



About the only way you can guarantee a copy of a new movie in hand on the release date is to go to a store and purchase it.
