i didn't used to think so, but after the massively impressive 42 million dollars it pulled in this past weekend (its fifth weekend - a new record) plus th estimated 11 million it is going to pull in today since its a holiday it has a legitmate shot. Dark Knight made 533 million all together domestically. It was just on Friday that Avatar eclipsed Dark Knights progress, putting them close together. Within just three days now, Avatar's progress is 14 days ahead of Dark Knight's and still pulling in about double a day of what dark knight did at this point. I think it may beat Titanic, what do you think?

I think it will. James Cameron himself said that it's only a matter of time before Avatar surpasses Titanic.

Avatar was shot in 3d and imax 3d thats one of the main reasons why its making so much money because it costs more than a regular movie ticket if Dark Knight was done in 3d or IMax 3d it would of made as much i still think Dark Knight is better than Avatar.

for my section the two are staggering movies yet I enjoyed vast extra. it is the type of movie that keeps you involved the full time instead of merely little bits in between the movie like Avatar. the two between the movies have been very long yet vast had a extra appropriate storyline and became extra exciting and exciting than Avatar. ordinary, I enjoyed vast extra yet possibly it is basically a private opinion because of the fact evryone has diverse movie tastes!

Yes it is just a matter of time and by how much it will beat it by.

People have to pay for the 3D glasses. The cake is a lie.

ABSOLUTELY NOT..i mean look at avatar then look at Titanic..i mean c'mon..get real...if you seriously agree with that..then maybe you should consider watching titanic just one more time..possibly twice...but you know whatever floats your boat..
