I like to read Movie Mom's reviews on Yahoo when I'm taking my kids to see movies, but for my own personal movies, I get movie reviews sent free to my cell phone from www.TxtVox.com. Do you read movie reviews before seeing a movie, and if so, will it change your mind about seeing it if the reviews are bad?

I do read movie reviews before seeing a movie in a theatre. Movie reviews help me decide which movie I want to see in a theatre and which I will wait to rent.

I have to read the reviews before seeing the movie, or the summary from wikipedia. I don't know what I would do if I just went into the movies without having some clue what the movie is about.

If I am planning on seeing a movie, and I see the review in the newspaper, I'll read it. But I will still see the movie regardless of what the review says.

Sometimes I read the reviews just to see how many stars the movie got. Usually I agree with the critics so if they hate the movie I will not see it in theaters but I might rent it later.

Every once in a while I'll look at reviews for movies I wanna see. If the movie gets bad reviews, I might not see it if I wasn't extremely interested in it anyways, but if it was a movie I really wanted to see I wouldn't care.

i usually look at reviews before i see movies but if the movie is something i really want to see, the reviews dont affect whether or not i go to see it.

Definitely

I (thought) I wanted to see that Golden Compass Movie, but after I read the review and heard that the guy who wrote is totally against God and at the book series, the kid(s) kill God, I was totally turned off!

i do read movie reviews only if i really am interested in it. for example, i really wanted to see the movie Awake but the tv and the internet were saying that it wasnt good at all. so now i will just wait till i can rent it. If a ton of movie critics say its not good, i trust them and i wait for the rental. But i love going to the theater no matter wat movie so i do sometimes base my opinion on the reviews.

If I see a movie that has gotten raves from a critic and I don't like it, I will steer away from his recommendations in the future. It's the same as restaurant reviewers. Finding commonality is the key in both instants.

no i don't because i have different opinions then everyone else. even if my friends say that a movie was not that great i will usually still see it if it was a movie i RELE wanted to see.. but sometimes i will at lesat wait until it comes out on DVD so it won't be such a waste of money if i don't like it
