Should I go see Dear John or Valentine's Day?

I'm going to the movies with my friend tomorrow and we're debating between seeing either Dear John or Valentine's Day. She wants to see Valentine's Day, I want to see Dear John. Both of these movies got rather bad ratings on Rotten Tomatoes, but I decided to just ask the Yahoo Answers community for advice =) Which movie do you think we should see and why? Thank you!

Dear John was better but Valentines day was funnier. I'd go with dear John though. Channing Tatum is awweessoommee.

They were both great in my opinion. If you want to laugh then go see Valentine's Day, if you want to cry go see Dear John. I enjoyed Valentine's Day more though.

go see BOTH. Rotten Tomatoes is sooo wrong cuz Dear John was #1 wen it came out (it knocked out Avatar's seven week #1 )and Valentine's Day was also #1 wen it came out. .Dear John is romantic and Valentine's Day is funny. so i would say go see both.

dear john makes you wanna cry. thats it. its a movie MADE to make you cry. no real story line or plot. but valentines day, has a bunch of stories , shocking moments and its a very awww movie. not, :( :'( :'( like dear john is. id go with valentines day
