In the film 'Jurassic Park 1',why that girl turned on the searchlight to atrract the tyrannosaurus?

I have watched the film scores of times, I could not get what that girl think,it seemed a stupid behavior,does she just want to get help from others?

she didnt know much about dinosaurs and she didnt know that the dinosaur would react to the light or something so she was trying to flash it into the other car for help but her brother knew that she shouldnt do that so he was trying to get the light off so they ended up moving it around and like flashing the light everywhere

I think she just turned it on because 1) she didn't really know what was going on and 2) everyone wants to see clearly what they're up against. I still think it was a stupid effect in the movie, though. No one's THAT stupid, lol.

She didn't know, as her younger brother did, that T-Rex's sight was based on movement. She was trying to get help from the dudes in the other jeep.

The part that bugs me is the end where the raptor is comming through the door and they can't reach the gun and the kid is just standing there banging on the back of the girls seat saying "come on come on come on hurry!" when I saw that I was like help them get the gun.....





BUt good movie anyway...My favorite
