It's a Wonderful Life

Dr. Strangelove or: How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb

Amélie

Paths of Glory

Double Indemnity

BQ: Inception just shouldn't be so high on the list, but it's IMDB so what can you expect...

BQ2:

Becoming Jane - that movie was in part a romantic movie, which should be predictable cause most romantic movies are...but it was actually unpredictable and the acting is good.

The Proposal - i could've been the only one but i cried from laughter, which doesn't happen a lot

The Holiday - there are plotholes, but the acting is good, Dustin Hoffman and Eli Wallach are in it which is a plus, and at some points it was unpredictable

The Gauntlet

Liar Liar

8. Inception

18. City of God

20. Once Upon a Time in the West

25. The Usual Suspects

30. Memento

BQ: Probably Toy Story 3. I don't think it was that great of a movie, in and of itself. It just elicited such a strong emotional response because of the memories associated with it, especially for people of my age. Toy Story was my favorite movie as a child. In 3, Andy is going off to college, and I started college in 2010. It's a story very close to me and my childhood. If I had not really cared about the first one, I doubt I would have been much more moved by 3 than I would by any other CGI cartoon last year.

BQ2:

2. Manos: The Hands of Fate

4. Monster A-Go-Go

12. Zaat (Saw it as Blood Waters of Dr. Z)

16. The Final Sacrifice

20. The Beast of Yucca Flats

Wow, I have seen literally every one of those movies because of Mystery Science Theater 3000. I must say, they are quite deserving of their low ratings.

Double Indemnity (1944) #52

Modern Times (1936) #69

Life is Beautiful (1997) #70

The Treasure of the Sierra Madre (1948) #71

Cinema Paradiso (1988) #77

BQ: The Matrix (1999), Inception (2010), The Shawshank Redemption (1994) are some that I think should be lower as I looked through these top 100 or so, but not necessarily off the list or anything like that

BQ2: I'll also do lowest of the 250

Monsters, Inc. (2001) #249

Three Colors: Red (1994) #246

Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl (2003) #238

Howl's Moving Castle (2004) #236

Nights of Cabiria (1957) #231

Edit: Seven Samurai is my second favorite film of all time, all you guys need to see it sometime.

IMBD is as bad as the AFI. They don't know a good movie from a cupcake. That list is the silliest thing I've ever seen. Where did they get their rankings? From the 3rd grade?
