***SPOILERS***
One thing that bothered me was the "Three years later" part at the beginning, right after Anna and Elsa's parents died in the storm. I was like "Who was ruling the kingdom in those three years?!" It seemed to me that Elsa was crowned queen right after her parents passed and the three years later was added by mistake and when they got to see that at the premiere, the producers must have been like in my mind: "Oops, who put that in there?"
Also, at the end when Elsa accidentally freezes Anna's heart, I felt that was too rushed.
I was also very upset of how the characters weren't that well developed, especially Elsa! We didn't get the chance to know anything about her. I wish they could have told where her powers came from, how she got them, just like how Rapunzel got her magical golden hair. The only positive things I can say about Elsa are her ice powers, her ice palace and her dress, I was like "Wow girl, you should be a fashion designer!"
Now talking about Anna, who was the highlight of the movie which I didn't mind that much, but as I said earlier I wish Elsa were in the spotlight as well. I liked Anna, but I wish her character was more explored.
Kristoff, he didn't have much of a personality I felt. He liked working with ice and that he lived with a bunch of trolls, who should have had a bigger role. That's it.
Olaf, was the best in this movie, he was hilarious and I agree that he did have the best lines as everybody kept saying, although it sucked that he appeared half way through the movie.
As for Hans, okay it was utterly predictable for teens and adults that he would turn out to be the antagonist, but since it wasn't for the kids I assume, well I'd give a pass. But again, he could have been more involved in the film, which wasn't the case unfortunately and he didn't have much character either. Now I'm not saying he should have been someone like Maleficent or Cruella de Vil but more like Gaston, that type of villain. I felt he didn't know what he was doing and didn't have much of a goal.
In terms with the soundtrack, they were decent but not great. For me, in order for a movie soundtrack to be really good (Disney-wise), it has to be stuck in your head and makes you wanna sing-a-long. The only song that was stuck in my head was Demi Lovato's version of Let it Go. Personally, I think Alan Menken would have done a better job with the soundtrack, who did the soundtracks for The Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast, Enchanted and Tangled.
Overall, I'd give the film 3/5 stars it's better than Brave but not as great as Tangled or Wreck-it-Ralph. How did you guys feel? A lot of people loved it. It was the first time I was disappointed with a Disney fairy tale movie. Oh well, hope I won't be the next time.
