As always classics will never die......but it never hurts when they are updated. I prefer Willy Wonka and the chocolate factory better i guess because of all the new cool stuff that was added to his factory. I also believe that acting was more of my time so that helped a lot in choosing this one better, and finally you gotta love the movie where Johnny Depp is...lol

I like Charlie and the Chocolate Factory much better, one of the many difference is that in the old one the old man and his grand-kid did taste one the candy it was some kind of soda that made both of them float, I saw in the news the the original character (Willy Wonka) was flaming before the movie came out but he when he saw it he apologize and told it was pretty good.

I don't think I should answer the rest, because I haven't seen Willy Wonka in a while and I don't really remember the actors/actresses from that one.

I do like Charlie and the Chocolate Factory better because I like the music a lot more, the Oompa Loompas don't creep me out as much, and I like the story more and the changes from the original are a bit more interesting to me.

The first one was better, it followed the book almost word for word. The second one was just creepy!
