4-8 years ago I beleive. It is not red cliff or last samurai, but I remember seeing it at the theater with my dad. I barely payed attention to it because I barely understood it. It was in chinese/japanese with english subtitles, and I remember one part where a guy was writing kanji (basic, i know) and at the end of the movie, there is tons of soldiers and they rain arrows on the main character, killing him and ending the movie.

Does anyone know what this movie is? I think it might be a samurai movie but im not sure.

I think it's Hero starring Jet Li.

It's one of my favorites.
