Do you think Twilight will have enough potiental to gross more money than The Dark Knight?

because i have never seen a movie with so much hype like Twlight
and people are going to freakin insane for this movie and i know several people at school going to see it tonight at midnight.
so you do you think it will make more money than the dark knight

Twilight will NEVER make as much money as you think. I don't even think it will make as much as The Dark Knight. Twilight is appealing to the teenage crowd more than anything and The Dark Knight had the appeal of fans of the Batman comic book, t.v. and movie franchises, which has been around for close to a century! Plus, it had so much acclaim from critics as well as audiences, that is why it made so much money.

And if you have never seen so much hype on a movie before, then you weren't around in 1999 when "Star Wars: The Phantom Menace" was released. As stupid as it sounds, people were waiting in movie lines for MONTHS for a chance to see the first screening of the Star Wars prequel.

I have not seen any hype about the movie at all so apparently all the "hype" is just directed at young people.



The Dark Knight appealed to a wide audience, even people over 40 like myself. A movie about teenage vampires does not interest me at all. It did when i was younger. "The Lost Boys" kicked a$s when I saw it ages ago.



I would be willing to bet that it does not come anywhere near the same level of money as The Dark Knight (which also had the benefit of being a really good movie with really good actors).



I have seen one preview for the movie. It looked like an after school special or something. No offense.

The Dark Knight is about the darker realities of life and not about Supernatural happenings and it was not just hype that took TDK to break all previous records there was so much thought provoking stuff in the movie that even the critics refuse to termed it as a "Superhero-Comic book Movie".



The Dark Knight was dark and provided people some food of thought.

same here people going to see it tonight...and even on the local news station they have been commenting about the movie atleast 4 times out of the week since the beginning of the month!!!!(out here in Dallas)

I've so been watching the news more often....but yeah i hope it will....it BETTER PASS High School Gay-a$$ Musical for sure!!!!
