1- Garden State - Just love the underlying message in this movie.

2- The Notebook- My favorite love story

3- The breakup- Love Vince Vaughn & Jennifer Anniston, and the movie cracks me up.

4- The Proposal- Basically a fan of anything with Ryan Reynolds in it, but it made me appreciate Sandra Bullock and it was pretty funny.

5- Rules of Attraction- really capitvates the *ucked up things that go on with a lot of college age kids and it's tells the story in a pretty cool way.

1. Requiem For A Dream

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0180093/

It's an amazing addiction film and Darren Aronofsky did a great job directing it. There's romance, family love, and the movie just perfectly expresses the emotion of each character. You feel bad for them but at the same time not.

2. American Beauty

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0169547/

This film was nominated for several academy awards and is absolutely amazing. There is a subtle humor to the film and a lot of sarcastic nature present in it. A different insight into what appears to be a perfect american family.

3.The Truman Show

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0120382/

I only recently watched this movie with a young Jim Carrey in it and was greatly impressed. It is how a man goes through his life without questioning things and just accepting what the world presents him with. Until one day things start to seem a little out of the ordinary. Great film based on Plato's allegory of the cave.

4. Waking Life

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0243017/

An independent philosophical film with some fantastic (although a little different from normal) animation. A movie that will definitely make you think about life.

5. Jack Ketchum's: The Girl Next Door

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0830558/

Not The Girl Next Door with the porn star in it... This movie is shocking to watch. What this woman does to "the girl next door" is just unbelievable. What's more unbelievable is who else helps her. A very sad and shocking movie.

Raging Bull - Incredible acting, directing, script, editing (which I don't normally even notice), and story. it's about the boxer Jake LaMotta and his problems he had. Very highly recommended.

Pulp Fiction - It's such a crazy movie, the script is so unique. If you saw it when it came out in 94 you'd see how it influenced the next 10 years of movies.

No Country For Old Men - it's probably one of the best "find the killer" movies I've ever seen. Very creepy and suspenseful

Magnolia - it's one of those movies where theres multiple story lines (which Pulp Fiction made famous) but theres about 10 story lines and for the first time I've seen, they don't all come together.

The Departed - from the same director of Raging Bull, it's also a great movie. The story is so interesting and funny at the same time. Based off a Chinese movie called Internal Affairs.

Pulp Fiction and Magnolia trailers don't do the movie justice, they make them look bad.

Love Actually - such a feel good film

The Notebook - so sad, but so sweet!

The Rocky Horror Picture Show - hilarious, and just...strange. Definitely one that needs to be watched. Fab for watching with friends.

Lean one me

The gridiron gang

Forever strong

I enjoy these films because the main characters all go through some serious soul-searching during the conflict of the film.
