There are a lot of movies shot in 70mm

Woodstock was released in 70mm but was shot in 16mm

2001: A Space Odyssey was shot in 70mm... Actually 65mm and 5mm is used for the 6 track audio.

The Sound of Music, Spartacus, Ben Hur & The 10 Commandments to name a few. Just about any movie that is more than a 2.50:1 ratio. For example, Ben-Hur is 2.66:1, which is like putting 2 TV sets next to each other and watching the movie.

The biggest problem with a 70mm movie is that they are extremely expensive to produce, due to the large film format. Some recent films released would be Star Wars, Indiana Jones, Jurassic Park and a few others which I can't think of right at this moment.
