Pirates of the Caribbean 4?

I have heard rumors that there will be a 4th Pirates of the Caribbean and the filming is to start in 2009 for a release in 2010. Do you think Disney should make a 4th one?

I think they should, it would be amazing, although I doubt it being about the Fountain of Youth. So what are your thoughts?

If there is a Potc 4, it would be a spin-off focusing on Jack (whether about the Fountain of Youth, I'm not sure)



Keira is tired of the series, and the crew has said we're finished hearing Will and Elizabeth's story.



I love Potc, and definitely think they should make a fourth one. After all, Johnny is talented enough to make the film successful, even w/o Orlando and Keira.

it has not been confirmed. according to an article (i forgot which one but you can look it up by searching pirates of the caribbean 4 in google) that johnny depp is still interested in makeing a fourth installment (provided the script is good) but keira knightly and orlando bloom reportedly made a pass for doing a fourth installment. i'm guessing that why they made the ending of the third film the way it is. the fourth one, if ever they are making one, will be a spin-off. probably following jack sparrow and another bunch of characters. :D

SHOULD they make a Pirates 4? Absolutely not! Are they GOING TO make a Pirates 4? I would bet my life on it. Why? Because people don't know what quality film is anymore. They'll fork out money to see anything that has a big name actor in it and a ton of special effects (even if they're lousy). It's because of the fans of movies like Pirates 1-3, King Kong, Spider Man 1-3, etc. that amazing and original films like Juno and Lars and the Real Girl aren't being made more often. Is it gonna take a "Smurfs" live action movie to make people realize the remake and big-budget adaptation thing is getting out of hand?!



BTW, Johnny Depp passed up a guaranteed best actor oscar when he chose Pirates 3 over The Diving Bell and the Butterfly because of scheduling conflicts. I love Depp, but it looks to me like he finally sold out! That's ok Johnny...as long as you made a boat-load of money. (No pun intended)

I don't know whether there will be 4th part of this mind-blowing series but I pray that they do. Though the 3rd part was relatively bad, having Johnny Depp in the movie compensated it for me. I really enjoy watching his stupidity & I hope that they come up with the 4th one and give him more screen space letting him show his entertaining stupidity.

NOOOOOOOO!!!! they messed up part 2 and 3, those movies could have been great but they tried to cram too much into them and they made them too over the top.... POTC The Curse of the Black Pearl is a great adventure movie, parts 2 and 3... not so much... and if they make part 4 I won't see it at the theater, nor on PPV... I'll wait till it's on HBO...

it'd be cool if they did. i liked the series. i dont see what all your problems with pt 2 and 3 are? i liked em. i mean really, they're movies about pirates. how serious can they be really? i thought they were great adventure movies.

certainly better than a movie about a guy in love with his blow up doll. (ahem!)
