Why are all the Saw movies released in October?

Question

I just noticed that all the saw movies are released in october.

Saw, released on October 29, 2004.
Saw II, released on October 28, 2005.
Saw III, released on October 27, 2006.
Saw IV, released on October 26, 2007.
Saw V, released on October 24, 2008.
Saw VI, to be released on October 23, 2009.
Saw VII, to be released in October of 2010

Does anybody know why that is or is that just a coincidence?

Probably because they think they will sell more tickets since the whole Halloween theme goes with the movie...

My guess is that they're released all in october because halloween is the 31 and they want their horror film to show then this way the movie makes more money.

Well, people like to go see scary movies around Halloween, so they released the first one around that time. And it's kinda like Twilight. They are trying to release them all around the same time of the year.
