Question:
Should I watch The Monuments Men?

Given the caliber of the cast and the interesting basis for the plot, The Monuments Men seems like something I would like to watch. But I've heard many unfavorable reviews of it, and I really do not want to sit through another boring war movie. So, to those of you who have already seen The Monuments Men, is it worth my time? Tell me what you thought of it, and thank you in advance. :)

My wife and I watched it yesterday, and we loved it. The movie is not so much about the rescuing of works of art from the Nazis (although that is a large part of the movie) as it is about the men who are the "Monuments Men", and how they bond because of the war and their shared mission. There is an especially moving scene set during the Battle of the Bulge. The holier-than-thou critics can go screw themselves.

I saw a movie critic on the news give it bad reviews saying there is not enough back story for character development and George Clooney should not have tried to both direct and star in the movie.

It is a tough one. The cast is great but it is not getting the best reviews. Just got destroyed at the box office by the Lego Movie.

It has Matt Damon and George Clooney, so no way. They both nauseate me endlessly.

I would however, watch it for Goodman and Bill Murray. Those guys I love.
