Is it possible for another Star Wars Trilogy before my grandfather dies.
He is 78 and a huge Star Wars fan. He doesnt care that he is a grandpa, he will play star wars battlefront all day or read the books.
I am also a Star Wars fan.
I cant even think of a Plot for 7 and it must be so hard for George Lucas to imagine these pieces of art.
But is there any chance at all?

Possible? Well, nobody knows when your grandfather is going to die.

* He may surprise all his family and reach his 100th birthday giving enough time to George Lucas to reconsider his position and develop / film another triology. 22 years is more than enough.

* Or, your father may die before anyone convince GL to film more Star Wars Episodes,

Who knows?

Plot for 7?

* There are plenty of novels written in the Star wars expanded universe to choose.

* Most fans say the best option is the Thrawn Trilogy for Episodes VII, VIII and IX.

The Thrawn Trilogy, also known as The Thrawn Omnibus, the Zahn Trilogy, the Empire Trilogy, The Three-Book Cycle, and the Star Wars cycle consists of three novels: Heir to the Empire, Dark Force Rising and The Last Command. They were written by Timothy Zahn and take place about five years after Star Wars Episode VI: Return of the Jedi (i.e. in 9 ABY.)

If not the Thrawn Trilogy, then jump a group of years later and start a triology with the kids of Han Solo & Leia Organa, and the ones of Luke Skywalker & Mara Jade already as Jedi's. But Mara Jade character is introduced in the Thrawn Trilogy, inserting her and her kids now, without her background as a "Hand" of Palpatine in the Thrawn Trilogy would be odd.

Short answer: Not a single chance in hell.

Long Answer: I'll probably get in trouble for saying this but the other answers you've gotten so far are beyond disgusting ... especially the one that recommends the site supershadow.com.

When Lucas first wrote the story line for SW it was a 12 episode mega saga. He wanted to tell it in the same fashion as the old Flash Gordon series back in the day. He realized that wouldn't work so after getting a little support from Fox he made what we now know as ep IV. Whether or not if it was supposed to actually be ep I or not is something that only Lucas knows and won't tell but there is verifiable proof that the first working title for what we now know as ep V was "2 of 12" ... in the end it is irrelevant anyways. A New Hope is different from the other movies in two ways. First it is the only one of them that can be seen as a stand alone movie. By that I mean it had a definite beginning and a definite end. If it had flopped as many, including Lucas to a certain extent, thought it would nobody would have had to know that there was more to the story. Second it is the only one of the movies that comes even remotely close to being told as the story line went. After that Lucas made two HUGE changes that led to the 6 movie epic saga that we have now. The first was to combine the characters of Darth Vader & Anakin Skywalker into one ... originally they were two different characters. This change led to the fabled "9 episode" story. The first trilogy was to be about the rise and fall of Anakin Skywalker, the second trilogy was to be about the rise of Luke Skywalker and the redemption of Anakin Skywalker, the third trilogy was to be about the "other Skywalker" that Yoda talks about in ep V. While writing the final duel between Luke and Vader in ep VI Lucas got stumped on what he could have Vader say to Luke that would cause Luke to attack his father in a dark side fueled rage. To solve this problem he made Leia the "other Skywalker" and had Vader threaten her. That change eliminated the third trilogy leaving us with the 6 movies ... end of story.

May The Force Be With You ...

@ "Vader": there is not one single self respecting SW fan on the face of the planet that would EVER recommend supershadow.com as a place to go for "breaking SW news". The person who runs that site, Mickey Suttle, is not only a fraud but certifiable. He claims to be an "insider" at LucasFilm and good buddies with Lucas himself, neither of which are true. This guy is so far around the bend that he has faked up tons of emails that he claims are between him and Lucas ... again, totally and completely 100% false. The only people that Mickey knows from LucasFilm are the lawyers because they are always suing him for the dribble he posts on his site. Don't believe me though, go to starwars.com and do a search on supershadow. You will get 100s upon 100s of links to absolute proof that Mr. Suttle is a lying piece of crap.

@ "Captain" : You lose that bet big time about there being a "reboot" of SW someday. Not ever gonna happen. The OT movies, with all the "enhanced" FX and sound are considered untouchable master pieces by most ... you can't get better than that. This is not a "Star Trek" kind of thing where JJ Abrams was allowed to make an alternate universe movie about ST. Lucas owns everything to do with SW ... every single thing ... he is the boss and what he says goes. It won't happen after he's dead either since he has made his wishes about the future of SW very clear and precise in his Will ... it's a simple as that ... not going to happen.

There's a very slim chance but when George Lucas started having thoughts of the original trilogy he wrote stories so that there would be 3 separate trilogies. He has said that there won't be any more movies but people change their minds all the time.

There will be no more Star Wars movies. That was the quote made by Goerge Lucas himself after he made the Revenge of the Sith. I'm too an avid Star Wars fan, and I also want to have another trilogy. Maybe you may want check out this link:

it would be not common to make greater vast call Wars video clips because of the fact the accelerated Universe has a significant tale that extends approximately 40 years previous the ending of Episode VI. this could be not common to place into video clips because of the sheer sort of books that have been made and what has exceeded off to the top-rated characters of the action pictures in the books.
