I'm bored and I want to be horrified by watching a good horror movie. What movie do you recommend?? I dont want the nasty movies with cutting peoples heads off with chainsaws or anything that has to do with animals attacking. I want a nice horror movie that consists of death, or spiritual ghosts, or surprising shocks, movies that would scare the hell out of you.

A movie that had the hair standing up on my neck and truly frightened is JEEPERS CREEPERS. The original movie is cast with unknown actors and a truly scary story. The villain is just skin crawlingly horrible and the premise of his villainy is a believable legend that really comes to life. If you rent or buy it, keep playing the DVD at the end and you'll be entertained from start to finish.

The way this story unfolds, you'll pick up details here and there with the final pieces falling into place just in time for a horrendous climax that leaves you scared to death. I found myself believing the story because it's played flawlessly. The director says he always wanted to make a horror movie like the classics and bring back the element in which we have to use our imagination to fill in details the film doesn't show us. It is that element that makes this a great horror movie for me.

I hope you get this movie and watch it in the dark. It's so good that I've watched it over and over again and my skin still crawls at the appropriate places. Enjoy a great movie and recommend it to friends who want to be truly scared!

Good luck! Rob R

I'm not totally sure what your age is so I don't no if these movies are "appropriate" for you. Some of them have MAJOR NUDITY and some STRONG SEXUAL CONTENT. I know I sounded like a weirdo by wording it that way, but these are bad for young kids, but great horror movies.

Exorcist

Salem Witch Project

Halloween

Nightmare on Elm Street

Friday the 13th

Well I'm not sure about spiritual ghosts or anything like that, but the scariest most disturbing movie to me was "The Hills Have Eyes". I thought it was scary and disturbing. Not sure if it will be your cup of tea, but it will have you a little rattled. In my opinion.

The Shining with Jack Nicholson - weirds me out every time.

The Dark with Sean Bean and Maria Bello are good too. Not graphic gross but very sinister

It sounds like you are talking about the Sixth Sense.

It isn't terribly scary, but deals with death, ghosts, and shocks.

I have seen almost ever horror movie ever made. They didn't really scare me for the most part. So many of them are cheesy. The first one that ever got to me was the original "Nightmare on Elm Street." Aside from that, the only movie that truly freaked me out was "The Ring." I am not easy to scare when it comes to movies, so I really appreciated "The Ring."
