You can use a dvd burner to do that, like this: http://www.hd-video-software.com/hd-dvd-burner/ . A dvd burner would help you burn your avi files to dvd disc so as to enable you to watch your avi file on your dvd player.

Hi, you should write the exact brand and model of your dvd player, then will get the exact answer, Avi is a media container format which can be encoded with many different codecs, such as divx, xvid, mpeg4, mjpeg, etc, according to my experience, there's no dvd player can play all the codecs avi files, only some special dvd players which have a divx or xvid or mpeg4 compatible sign on the dvd player panel can recognize right profile divx or xvid codec avi files well, so if your dvd player has a divx or xvid or mpeg4 sign on the dvd player panel, you can play right profile divx or xvid codec avi files on dvd, but if your dvd player just be a regular dvd player, means only play standard video dvd well, so you have to use a right program to convert and burn your avi file to right format dvd for your dvd player, I used RZ DVD Creator to do that, it can convert any formats video files to right profile divx or xvid codec avi files(select "divx-dvd" or "xvid-dvd" as target format) then burn into dvd for DVD players which have divx or xvid or mpeg4 compatible sign, and it also can convert and burn any formats video files to standard video dvd(select "dvd" as target format) for any dvd players, with it you can easy to convert and burn your avi file into dvd to play well in your DVD players, you could yahoo or google search and download RZ DVD Creator, hope these infos could help you.

I always use ConvertXtoDVD,it has no any problems:

It supports most video and audio formats for video conversion (avi, mpg, mov, wmv, mkv, ogm and more),You also can create DVD Menu and add subtitles(SRT, .SUB/IDX, .SSA) to DVD. It can create NTSC DVD and PAL DVD with high quality.

Free download from vso official site:
