I have not seen Silent Hills, but The Hills have eyes scared the crap out of me, but i enjoyed it... through the fingers in my ears and my eyes being shut through half of it... i still enjoyed it...

I remember watching the original Hills Have Eyes back in the late 70's(yes I am old) Scared the crap out of me. I would say try and rent that one first and then go see the new one.
