"ONLY a Sith deals in absolutes...........I will do what I must!" Only? Come on! Only IS an absolute word! Does it mean he himself IS a Sith? Man, Obi-Wan is so stupid!

Alright. Deals in absolutes, not says absolutes. A Sith's actions are absolute, a Jedi's are not.
Also young Obi-Wan is seen as more passionate, and grows more wise as he ages. This could also be a mistake of youth and passion.
Obi-Wan is NOT stupid. He is a wonderfully deep character that I've loved since my youth.
I believe you feel he's stupid because you don't understand him, thus showing your own ignorance.

Obi-Wan's a complicated character. I consider a statement like "Only a Sith deals in absolutes" to be more of a generalization than an absolute. We have to remember that this is set directly against Anakin/Darth Vader's statement "If you're not with me, you're against me." I always thought that the following statement by Obi-Wan was an attempt to show Anakin that he's heading down a path he can't easily escape from, and that his training as a Jedi should have been able to prevent that. So no, I don't think what Obi-Wan said was intended as an absolute, only as a wake up call to a friend who's making some horrible choices.

You are asking for logic from someone who has completely lost his mind - Lucas.
Come on man - an 8 year old hits on a 20 year old(?!??), and she is turned on by this??!?!!?? Gungans make state of the art weapons but they have to be transported by camels and launched with rubber bands? You can find out who a Jedi is by giving him a simple blood test, yet the Jedi have this enormous structure set up to try and discover which kids will be Jedi? Slaves have exploding implant chips in their bodies that are sensitive to a few feet of change, but "Annie" (geezus!) can run miles away without his blowing up?
And so on.
Episodes 1, 2, and 3 are riddled with so many logic errors, craptastic dialogue, non-explanations (such as why Darth Maul is so eager to get revenge on the Jedi), and goofs that they are unwatchable.
Lines like the one you quote are like characters saying, "I am absolutely sure there are no absolutes." It just shows the good life, padding on the excess pounds up at Skywalker Ranch, has made George a full-blown lunatic.
