In the 5th one every hates Harry. But in the end they realize that Voldemort is back so they like him again. Sirius Black dies. Fred and George leave Hogwarts to open a gift shop! These are some key points that you'll need. Obviously everything would make more sense if you had seen the 5th one.

you don't need to have seen the order of the phoenix.

summary of the order of the phoenix:

This novel begins when Harry and his cousin, Dudley, are attacked by dementors. Harry uses magic to fight them off, and must attend a disciplinary hearing. It quickly becomes apparent that the hearing is a show trial, and despite the best attempts of the Ministry of Magic, he is cleared of all charges. In response to Voldemort's reappearance, Dumbledore re-activates the Order of the Phoenix, a secret society which works to defeat Voldemort's minions and protect Voldemort's targets, including Harry. Despite Harry's description of Voldemort's recent activities, the Ministry of Magic and many others in the magical world refuse to believe that Voldemort has returned.

In an attempt to enforce its version of school curriculum, the Ministry appoints Dolores Umbridge as the new High Inquisitor of Hogwarts. She transforms the school into a quasi-dictatorial regime and refuses to allow the students to learn ways to defend themselves against dark magic. Harry forms a secret study group and begins to teach his classmates the higher-level skills he has learned. The novel introduces Harry to Luna Lovegood, an airy young witch with a tendency to believe in oddball conspiracy theories. Moreover, it reveals an important prophecy concerning Harry and Voldemort. Harry also discovers that he and Voldemort have a telepathic connection, allowing Harry to view some of Voldemort's actions. In the novel's climax, Harry and his school friends face off against Voldemort's Death Eaters. The timely arrival of members of the Order of the Phoenix saves the children's lives, but Sirius Black, Harry's godfather, dies. Many Death Eaters are captured and, most importantly, the return of Voldemort is confirmed within the magical world.

:( I fairly realize you. :) I cried too whilst I first learn books 6 and seven, and I nonetheless cry whilst I reread them. So, to reply your questions: a million. It's a difficult query. Really. I belive Hermione is my favorite person, for the reason that , she may be very sensible, simply, a fairly well pal for Ron and Harry, she consistently is helping them, despite the fact that she disagrees and for the reason that I consider it's as an alternative intricate to be the one woman among 2 boys . :D two. Bellatrix is my least favorite person for the reason that she murdered her possess brother! I imply, it's revolting! ...And she laughed after that.... three. Frankly, I pass over every body that died...peculiarly Fred Weasley , Tonks and Lupin , Hedwig ( she did not need to die), Sirius, Dumbledore undoubtedly, even Snape, for the reason that eventually he turn out that he used to be well, Colin Creevey, for the reason that he used to be so younger, and the leisure of different 50 individuals who died within the Battle of Hogwarts. R.I.P. all :( As a individual oppinion, I consider that J.K. Rowling used to be a little bit merciless with the final books ( five,6,7) ...

well, in the order of the phoenix, harry had a prophecy that said only he can stay alive if voldemort dies, and voldemort can only stay alive if harry is dead. nothing else really in my opinion
