Does Forrest Gump get his medal of honor taken away?

I cant remember if Forrest gets his Medal of Honor taken away for speaking at the rally, or for giving it to jenny, or something. does he?

Ok first, the guy who answered first is a moron. Jenny wasnt a crack whore, nor did she die of an overdose. Did he watch the movie?

Forest never lost the medal. gave it to Jenny. He was hailed a hero by his platoon as well as the president. All for doing what she told him to do, and she told him that because she cared about him. She always did and forest knew it.

On a side note, the medal of honor was possibly his greatest achievement in his life, but that didn't matter to him. Jenny was all that he ever cared about.

Forrest gives the medal to Jenny before boarding the bus with her abusive boyfriend from the Black Panther Party. When he first tries to give it to her, she tells him "I can't take this", he replies " I only got this from doing what you told me to do". Also, after Jenny and Forrest slept together, she leaves the medal on the bed and leaves Forrest. That's when Forrest takes that long run across the country.
