I am an English speaking person staying in Germany and I like to watch DVDS. While I often know what movie I'd like to rent I have trouble finding out what the translated titles are in German.
Does anyone know where I can find what the German translations are of English speaking movie titles?

I am a German living in the US. i often have the same problem translating names etc to German when I only know the English name since the German titles are not usually just the literal translation.
What you can do: go to a German search engine like yahoo.de and search the english title on German language websites. E.g. on yahoo.de there is a box under the search box that says 'Seiten auf deutsch' (Pages in German). Select this and you will get only German language pages refering to the movie. Search the page of where it mentions the original english name and it should give you the german title at the same place.

The Internet Movie Database is a Good place to go. Check it out at imdb.de or imdb.com. You can also find the film on wikipedia, then switch to the German article on the same film by clicking on Deutsch in the left hand column. This sometimes works, but IMDB is much more comprehensive.
