So i had so high hopes for this movie when it was released in July 15th and when i finally saw it i was disappointed . I have read the books and deathly hallows is definetly my favourite book but deathly hallows part 2 the movie ? , it just didn't feel right in my opinion . It felt like a lot of scenes were rushed and when i read the book and all the deaths happened i was really sad but in the movie , they were terrible ! , you hardly even see the deaths . Lupins and Tonks death , i had no emotion what so ever because it was a 5 second clip of them lying there dead and i just looked and went . 'ok' . Voldermorts death in particular was ok but after he died it seemed everyone was back to normal and it felt like it had just been swept under the carpet . The special effects werent great in my opinion especially the voldermort and harry scene that just looked stupid. the fighting scenes where so fast that it felt like just flashes of red and green and then it was over. . it just didnt seem right in my opinion . obviously there were good aspects of the movie like the story and especially the secrets where really good , but the pacing felt all over the place . i just think that this movie was highly Overrated , i came out of the cinema thinking that was it ? 10 years and..... that's it ?? . People seemed to hate deathly hallows part 1 but it thought part 1 was fantastic , i loved it and i thought part 1 was so much better than part 2 , anyway that is my opinion i know its really late lol but i just wanted to get across that this movie i think has been giving far too much credit

I thought the movie was satisfying for what it was, but I haven't read all the books yet. I did read the last stand-off between Harry and Voldy though and it's quite long in the book. I assume they felt it would be too much. They explain some of this on the extras on the blu-ray and DVD. Recreating what's on the written page is always a challenge and certain decisions have to be made. They did clear all the changes with Jo Rowling. I didn't feel disappointed, but I knew there where missing parts. Fans of long novels are almost always left lacking when they see the movies. There were Gone with the Wind fans who thought the movie could have been better. And, in the case of Return of the Jedi, I felt a little disappointed after the end of that movie because it felt like George Lucas had decided to go for all the easy answers.

Yes! Yes!! YES!!!

It was so disappointing I can't even describe how disappointing it was. You did quite well, but I would like to add that the "fighting" scenes were supposed to be epic battles with clashes, fighting, noises, people, and creatures everywhere, but there were none. It was only Harry and Voldemort flying. Really, flying, really? Off of a cliff even. They couldn't even just––UGH! }:< I'm pretty sure they enough money to hire extras (as shown from the earlier movies on a smaller budgets) and decent choreographers for the epic battles. I don't understand what went their heads.

Oh and with the other users answer about the elder wand, I completely agree. In the book, he put it back in Dumbledore's grave, so there a possibility of a future mystery there. Who found the hallows? But NO!!! The movie ruined it. }:< }:< }:<

Wow! have you been in my brain or something? I totally agree with everything you say. I mean, my favourite scene of all the books was when harry spoke to Voldemort right befor he killed him, and they didn't have that part. Not to mention that Harry went and broke the elder wand without fixing his own so now he has no wand!!!
