Question:
What old '80s/'90s films deserve prequels, sequels, and/or reboots?

Hi. I am bored and curious. I can think of a few.

I would like to see:

A Braveheart sequel. This film continues from where the first left off and it would be about William Wallace's son.
A new Short Circuit film, sequel or reboot. Why? A film about a sentient robot would be relevant now in today's culture.
A new Batteries Not Included film would be fun.
People have been talking about a Roger Rabbit 2 or a Space Jam- I don't know if Disney or WB will make either, respectively,
I would have liked a Sister Act 3, but the first two films came out about 2 decades ago.
There's talk about a Wayne's World 3 and a Bill and Ted 3, but the last films in both series came out over decades ago, and the actors who portrayed the main characters are old now.
Maybe a new Days of Thunder film.

I was never really a big film person. I know my list of '80s/'90s films I referenced is short.

Can you think of other suggestions for '80s/'90s film reboots or prequels or sequels? What would you like to see? Please help- thank you.

Spaceballs = sequel

WarGames = reboot (yes someone pointed out a direct to video sequel exists but that's no fun)

Weird Science = reboot

Armed & Dangerous = reboot

Breakfast Club = reboot

Philadelphia Experiment = reboot

Colors = reboot

Demolition Man = sequel

Hook = reboot (though I doubt anyone could fill Robin Williams shoes)

Twister = reboot (the original is good but a reboot with actual facts would kick ***)

Groundhog Day = reboot

Super Mario Bros = reboot (though the original is so bad its good)

Not really relevant to the question but a live action Digimon Adventure Movie would be epic (lol think Honey I Shrunk The Kids meets Jurassic Park)

Rat Race (I know its a 00s film but its pre-9/11 style makes it a 90s movie at heart IMHO) = sequel

Starship Troopers = sequel (a good one)

Movies that I feel shouldn't be touched for 25 more years:

Police Academy

Honey I Shrunk The Kids

First Blood

Spies Like Us

Grosse Point Blank

Back To The Future

Hi, I'm bored too, fun question though.... :)

1980s--

Dead Men Don't Wear Plaid - sequel

the Breakfast Club - 'where are they now?' sequel

Fletch - another sequel WITH Chevy Chase

Back to the Future - another sequel WITH the original cast

Anne of Green Gables - another sequel WITH the remaining original cast

Beetlejuice - sequel, which I think is going to happen !! :D

Kiki's Delivery Service - sequel

1990s--

MAYBE Edward Scissorhands - sequel MAYBE, I just cannot stand Winona, and everyone's older now, so I don't know.....

I guess they should leave Misery alone, I mean you can't bring Kathy Bates back!! Love her!!

Raising Cain - sequel, I wanna know what happens where they left off, I mean they just can continue the thrilling story

Another Stakeout - another sequel

Copycat - sequel, but of course bring in a new criminal that's copycatting

Independence Day - already a sequel coming out !! :D

A Time to Kill - sequel

Conspiracy Theory - sequel

My Best Friend's Wedding - sequel, she didn't get the man, now it's her turn :)

ANOTHER Austin Powers :)

ANOTHER Men in Black :)

Hard Rain - sequel

US Marshals - it's a sequel to The Fugitive, so another sequel please :)

ANOTHER The Mummy with Brandon Fraser - sequel, WITH the original cast

cool beans, that was fun.

No offence, but I find all of those to be terrible ideas. A Hollywood studio should hire you immediately!

...and leave my sweet Winona alone!

Did you see Creed? (2015) I meant to but missed it when it was in the theaters.

To your question:

How about The Breakfast Club (Where are they now?)
