can i ask what is it with all these damn titanic questions - yes i am aware its on tv - but its history. WWI and WWII easily eclipsed it - whos with me?

because at the time it was the greatest loss of civilian life at sea and it took so long to discover the wreck

It is less complicated to follow than WWI and WWII. They also get suckered in because they had popular actors in the movie. At least it isn't Pearl Harbor where they covered up the good stuff with the mushy love story.
