That would be MUCH easier to do if we knew your age, perhaps your gender, or any other information that would hint at what kind of movies you like.
Some of my favorites:
The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe
I thought this was a GORGEOUS way to tell the story, and the kids are so perfect for their respective roles. The special features include a commentary with the kids and director, outtakes, a casting documentary, and a featurette video journal the youngest girl did
Back to the Future 3-disc set:
The movies are, of course, awesome, and there are all kinds of special features. It does include all three of the BttF movies, and features for the set and also features for each individual movie
Schindler's List:
Great movie, includes a kind of production notes thing for how the movie came to be, and a documentary with the Schindler Jews, and several plugs for the Shoah Foundation
Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire:
They FINALLY stepped away from the incredibly stupid collection of "special features" where you have some moronic game and had some pretty cool features for the fourth one, including a behind the scenes featurette of the Yule Ball, a featurette on Ralph Fiennes as Voldemort, and some other featurettes and interviews.
The Lord of the Rings Trilogy:
This is also a great storytelling movie, and beautiful to watch on a big screen tv. Get the special editions, and there are more special features than you can count.
Since most of these are fantasy/drama types, some good more lighthearted or less fantastical movies are:
Meet the Fockers (hilarious, even if you don't like Meet the Parents.)
Over the Hedge (pretty dang cute)
Finding Nemo (the best of the Pixar collections, if you ask me)
Toy Story 1 & 2 (a close 2nd and 3rd for the Pixar group)
Chicken Little (suprisingly funny... some great casting, too)
Happy Gilmore (probably the best of the Adam Sandler movies; any other Sandler movies are pretty great, though, except Little Nicky)
Spider-man 1 & 2 (and I don't even like superhero movies)
Batman Begins (once again, I don't like superhero movies, but this one is good)
Star Wars (they're classics, but I'm not a fan of the "new" stuff... someone should have had the balls to tell George Lucas, "You know, sometimes, you should just stop.")
I'm a David Spade fan, and I liked Dicky Roberts and Joe Dirt.
Napolean Dynomite is friggin awesome!
I thought Bruce Almighty was pretty hilarious.
Even though it's a little dirty and I usually don't like that, the 40-Year-Old Virgin was really funny (I knew there was something to this Steve Carell guy when he was able to steal scenes in both a Jim Carrey movie and a Will Farrell movie.)
Moulin Rouge and the movie adaption of The Phantom of The Opera were both really good.
For Christmas, A Christmas Carol (with George C. Scott) is the only one worth watching.
It's a Wonderful Life. is a classic and really never gets old. A
Charlie Brown Holiday Collection (includes Merry Christmas Charlie Brown, as well as It's The Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown and a few others).
Elf was SO funny! (for a month, I was tempted to answer the phone "Buddy the Elf, what's your favorite color?")
