NR just means that it has not yet been rated, but will most likely be submitted for a rating by the MPAA soon. Technically, you can currently see it at any age (until it receives a rating).

Hope that helps :)

Sometimes in movie listings, NR just means that whoever typed up that list didn't have a rating available. IMDb says Madea's Big Happy Family (the film version, not the video taped version of the stage play) is rated PG-13. Parental guidance is suggested for kids under 13, but most theaters don't card too closely. Tyler Perry is usually a pretty wholesome writer and director, with just a hint of naughty.

IMDB's parents' guide reports:

Sex & Nudity: This film contains no sex or nudity, but much of the dialogue discusses past sexual encounters, promiscuity and parentage of children. One of the characters wears low-cut blouses and dresses.

Violence & Gore: An elderly woman drives her car through the window of a fast-food restaurant, gets out of the car and begins throwing objects at the young woman working the drive-thru window in response to her rude and disrespectful service. The same character slaps a boy across the face repeatedly as she strongly chastises him for disrespectful talk to his mother and other adults. In the outtakes she slaps an elderly male relative across the face causing him to fall comedically to the floor.

NR means that the movie has not been rated by the MP AA, so technically you can be any age. However, being an unofficial film there can be suggestive content.

If it has been out of theters, and it still Not Rated [NR], then whatever your parents [Unless you are one] choose, NR doesnt restrict people under 18, its more like... we are not sure, whatever your parents think....

Well if a movie isn't rated you can be any age to see it however if it's a sexual movie that isn't rated I would have to guess 18 and over.
