Horror Fans, recommend movies just like SUSPIRIA...in terms of colors?

Question

I want to watch movies like SUSPIRIA and INFERNO, same color technique used (strong colors, etc)
Can any true Horror fan recommend me films with the same color style of Suspiria but NOT BY DARIO ARGENTO, I'm already familiar with his other work.

Those ar my 2 favorite Argento movies.



I don't think anyone ever did it quite like him.



I recommend you check out a director named Michele Soavi. Specifically The Church and Cemetery Man.



Also try to find Santa Sangre by Alejandro Jodorowsky. If you like it then watch Holy Mountain and El Topo. Those are not horror films, but I bet you'll get into them.



Born of Fire by Jamil Dehlavi.

Martin by George Romero.



Maybe some David Lynch like Blue Velvet. Again not a horror film, but the atmosphere is palpable in this one.



It's kind of hard to recommend stuff based on an enjoyment of Argento's movies. He really is unique. Especially with those colors and especially in Suspiria. Obviously Hitchcock would be the closest comparison, but most of his films are B&W.

Good question. I suppose you could say the original Dawn of the Dead has a very bright color palette for such a dark movie.



You've probably seen The Beyond, not so much for color but for the Italian genre.
