Sweeney Todd Release Date!?

I live in a small town and I checked with the cinema and they said that Sweeney Todd isn't coming to it and won't be. However, I know that it's due out on December 21, but I also heard that the nationwide release date is December 25 in America. Can somebody please tell me when it will be coming out everywhere or in at least most cinemas?

The advertisements are indeed deceptive. They keep blazing "THIS CHRISTMAS" across the screen at the end of most trailers, but the release date is, as you already know, on the 21st. Yes, that is the nationwide release date in the United States, so it will be in most cinemas on the 21st.



Trust me, I've been keeping a VERY close eye on all things Sweeney. I'm a BIG fan of the show and I've actually been to a couple of free pre-screenings. I would highly HIGHLY recommend seeing it as soon as is possible. The pre-screenings in my area are over now since it's so close to the 21st, but I'll be paying to see it as soon as it's "officially" released. That's how much I liked it. I've seen it for free and I'm willing to pay to see it as soon as I can!

"Sweeney Todd" is getting a "semi-wide" release this Friday (Dec. 21). That means about 800+ theaters in the whole country.



The nationwide release - meaning 2000+ theaters - is scheduled for Jan. 11.

December 21, thats what i heard
