Why is the movie 'House of Dark Shadows' not on DVD?

There is no reason for this. Movies like 'The Giant Gila Monster' are widely available, but yet a camp classic that is based off of the biggest daytime television show ever is not on DVD???? Dark Shadows has quite the cult following. You can buy the seasons in DVD sets. You can buy the books, the old VHS's (House of DS included), board games, etc. Yet, you cannot but House of Dark Shadows on DVD. Why why why why why?????? Is there a legal problem or something? Can't they see that there is a profit to be made by selling them? I just cannot understand this, someone please help.

...I have very high hopes that MGM Home Video, who owns the rights to both 1971's "Night of Dark Shadows" and 1970's "House of Dark Shadows", will eventually released both films on a double-feature disc, as they did for many of their genre releases, both classic and contemporary, as part of their varied and eclectic 'Midnite Movies' DVD series....

That became an excellent sequence. It actual ran 1966-1971. you may get each and all of the episodes on DVD. it is a relaxing exciting sequence. Barnabas joined the coach in 1967. in addition they made 2 video clips of the sequence (whilst it aired initially) observed as abode of dark Shadows and night of dark Shadows.

Johnny Depp is making the movie so they will probably release the original for a tie in to the movie. TCM airs it now and then.
