If I pre-order The Hunger Games, will it arrive at my house the day of the release?

Hey, I'm debating whether to pre-order The Hunger Games DVD or not
I want the dvd as soon as it is released, on the first day, and I don't know whether the best way of going about that is to pre-order it or to go to the store to buy it directly on the release date?

If pre-odering guarantee's me getting the dvd on the release date, then I'll definatly go for that, but I've never pre-ordered before, so I'm not sure when to expect it delivered.

Anyone want to help me out please?

I pre-order a lot of things. From books, to movies, even CDs, i pre-order almost everything. None of them have ever showed up on the day it was released. What happens is, unless stated otherwise, the DVD will be shipped from the warehouse on the release date. It will come in a few days later depending on how much you pay for shipping. It can be both good and bad. You may not get the DVD on the release date, but you are guaranteed to get one. I have tried to just go buy the book or movie on the day it was released before and left empty handed and having to wait days to get one because it sold out. I ended up getting mine the almost same time my friend did when she pre-ordered hers.

there's no real GUARANTEE that you`ll get it same-day, sometimes you may get it a day before (store supplies generally get in a week or so ahead of time, they just can't legally sell until the release date, barring shipping which is inexact) or a couple days after. Really the only way to make sure you get it is to buy it from a store directly.

Depends on the store. There really is no guarantee though you might get it a day before, on the day of the release or after a couple of days (depends on the shipping too).

it many times varies, my buddy Michael pre-ordered Borderlands 2 in March of final 12 months, he have been given it previous due September-early October, yet through the time he have been given it, his buddy Dylan had gotten it from the keep. And Michael had pre-ordered the sport Of The 12 months version.
