Today is a very sad day in Yahoo Answers, as Robin Williams passed away today. Honestly, Robin Williams' death was a huge shocker to me, as it came out of nowhere. Robin Williams seemed like he was doing well, and I thought that he wouldn't die so soon. Robin Williams was taken away from us too soon, sadly. Robin Williams will be missed.

Yes, it's very sad and surprising, but not really shocking. He was a comedian, and many comedians are actually people who are in a lot of emotional pain underneath the "act" of being funny all the time. We never really saw the real Robin Williams, he was always "on", even in interviews he was playing a part, being the funny man. This can be a red flag of crippling depression and low self esteem. It may have been accidental, we really don't know the details, and "Asphyxiation" is a very broad term.



I go back to the Happy Days era, and Mork and Mindy, the original run. He was a brilliant actor, and I actually liked him better in serious roles. "One Hour Photo" was very powerful.

I don't think he knew how much he was loved. He could have just picked up the phone and called someone, and I'm sure he would still be with us.
