Try renting Wait Until Dark or What Lies Beneath... both are suspenseful not exactly horror or scary but they will cause some jumping with out the gore factor of today's scary movies. You can check out the links below to see if they look interesting to you...

Ok, that's a though one. However I porbably go for Horror Spoofs. The Movies that make Fun of Scary Movies. Like the Scary Movies or Shriek If You Know What I Did Last Friday the 13th or somthing else equally as lame.

Trust me, I don't think you'll be disaapointed with either of those choices.

not Another Teen Movie would also be a good one. It makes fun of pretty much ever teen movie that has sver been made.

I know it seems like a big deal now, but trust me...this too shall pass.

You have a few choices. First, you can "get sick" at the last minute, claiming that you don't feel well enough to go. Sit this one out...no one will care and if they do, they'll forget about it by Monday morning.

Second, you can just watch the stinking movie. If you don't like it, you don't like it. If you're the minority and everyone else wants to watch them, you just have to go along.

Third, you can more forcefully suggest doing something else. Bring along your own movie...maybe even get something that's suspenseful or scary, but at YOUR level of tolerance.

If the party hostess is your best friend, just take her aside and tell her they keep you up all night and you hate them (or whatever your actual problem is with them). If you're good friends she should understand. If she doesn't, just let her be mad...she'll get over it.

Well, I reccommend one of the "Scary Movie" series. They're not exactly horror, per se, but should be entertaining.

If you want a movie that is not so scary, then you should probably consider either Shaun of the Dead (somewhat like Scary Movie) or mabye Scream.

Remember, it's harder to be scared when you're watching with friends.

I dont watch Scary movies AT ALL. If one of my friends puts one on, i leave the room. I say " with all that is going on in the world today, we dont need movies to scare us". I hate scary movies, there is no point in them. Now, comedy is the best. and action/comedy is even better.

Try bringing a couple of movies you like and that you think your friends may also enjoy. When the time comes, suggest they watch your movies first to "set the mood" for the evening. If all else fails, bring a book and enjoy it in another room during the movie.

I think you should just tell everyone at the party you don't like scary movies and sit beside of one of your best friend so you can hide you face in her back if you need to.

Get any of the "Scary Movie" movies, none of them are a bit scary, they just make fun of scary movies, they are so funny, you won't be scared at all.

How about suggesting a movie that is not so scary.

"Scary Movie" which is a parody of scary movies.

or movies that are more of a comedy than scary like "ghostbusters", "Army of Darkness", or "Bubba Hotep" which are funnier than they are scary.

Tell your friend that. If they are really your friend they will understand and find another movie to watch.
