I have never seen either of the three live-action Transformer movie. Many people have said the first and third movie were great the second movie was terrible. What is your opinion on the movie. Thanks for your time.

I'm definitely a movie buff, I can enjoy anything from dramatic artsy films to high-budget action blockbusters. However, I feel this last decade of movies has been mostly junk, and the Transformers series is a perfect example of a movie that is all style and NO substance.

The first Transformers film isn't bad for what it is. The plot, characters, and dialogue are all pretty stock, but it's fun to watch these big robots duke it out and the special effects are more impressive than a lot of recent films. On a scale of 1-10, I'd give it a 6.5 because it's nothing special but it manages to entertain.

Transformers: Revenge Of The Fallen is the 2nd film. I expected it to be about the same as the first, maybe even a little better. On the contrary, it was worse... a LOT worse. The movie basically becomes a comedy full of stupid, immature jokes that only an 8-year-old would laugh at. The plot has way too many holes in it, Megan Fox is nothing more than a stale piece of eye candy, Optimus Prime (the best Transformer) is gone most of the movie, and there's too much shameless advertising of Chevy and Mountain Dew products. The acting is bad and the whole movie is just glamorized crap. I'd give it a 3, only because there was a couple of decent fight scenes.

Transformers: Dark Of The Moon had my expectations in the gutter. It was better than the 2nd movie, but not by a lot. Once again, the film is too long, Sam's character has become less likeable with every film, plenty of brainless over-the-top action, weak acting and dialogue, and Michael Bay's nonstop spinning camera. It wasn't quite as annoying as Revenge Of The Fallen but it was basically the same kind of movie. I'd give it a 4.5

While I'm not really a fan of the series, there is no denying that Michael Bay knows how to do spectacle. The first and third both have things to admire/enjoy, but the second is an absolute abomination.

Transformers: C+

Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen: D-

Transformers: Dark of the Moon: B-

Hi I loved the first Transformers movie, although I thought they involved the people too much as I only cared to see the transformers fighting and doing their thing. Unfortunately, this is what they added more of in the 2nd and 3rd movies. That and way too much goofy funny stuff. I did laugh at the jokes they got pretty dang funny in the 3rd one, but still that's not what I wanted in Transformers.

And they turned some of the best characters from the cartoons into trash. I'm not sure why. In the first movie they all seemed to be right. Starscream kicked butt, as did Megatron and Optimus Prime. But in 2nd and 3rd most of the fights were just dumb. I just kept asking "WHY did they make him so weak he's supposed to be awesome" about a lot of the bots.

I'm not a huge fan of Transformers. I barely watched any of the cartoons, but even I know who is supposed to be a big deal and the sequels just didn't. I'd recommend you watch them all because I did enjoy them, but try to pretend after the first one that it's not Transformers at all. It's hard, but if you can, then over half of each movie having NOTHING to do with big robots fighting, but more about Shia Lebouf and his girl problems won't seem so dumb.

They are pretty much all terrible - the first one is mediocre at best, but all three can barely be classed as films - it's mainly just explosions and CGI, with a little dialogue and backstory thrown at semi-random intervals. Michael Bay, regardless of whether fanboys like him, is one of the worst directors currently working in Hollywood, simply because all his films are generally the same - look at Pearl Harbor; he takes a genuine historical event, which ended up shaping WWII and changing the course of history, and reduces it to mindless explosions, historical inaccuracies and a petty romance. You may enjoy the Transformer films and I'm not knocking you for that - many people do like them because they're so action-packed - but if you, for a minute, think about whether they're more than just popcorn entertainment, the answer is usually "no".

i might fee it at a 7. As a stand on my own action picture (no longer pertaining to it to the comic strip) I enjoyed it. The visuals have been magnificent, the music became into great, the plot became into sturdy the characters and appearing have been real on. It made a formidable political assertion, on an identical time as substantial robots beat one yet another approximately. motor vehicle races, hearth fights, ariel battles...it has each little thing a action picture desires- apart from zombies (yet returned, we've substantial robots, who desires zombies?). i for my section like what the action picture stated approximately human beings and our government and worldwide relatives etc. and that they didnt circulate all Independence Day on it the two.
