How the hell could they have ****** up Alien: Covenant THIS much?!!!?

The movie could very easily been called Alien: Retards in space. So they land on this unknown planet that nobody knows about, and they don't even put on ******* environment suits?! Even worst, they go literally poking the local flora with sticks and rubbing their faces in it! The whole movie feels as if the characters are actually trying to do their best to get themselves killed istead of trying to survive.

And then there is David! OMG i want to strangle someone with my bare hands for David even existing! They literally just threw away the first two Alien movies and the derelict ship on LV-426. And then they just kill off the Engineers in a completely stupid, abrupt and anticlimactic fashion so they can prop up David as some kind of stupid creator/god thingy. WHY?! I remember how much i loved the xenomorph in Alien and Aliens because they were so mysterious, it added to the horror factor. In Alien there was no time to **** around trying to explain where the xenomorph came from because there was a freaking monster loose on the ship killing everyone!

I never thought there could be an Alien movie worse then Prometheus.

As a long time fan of the Alien franchise all i can say is **** this movie!

When I was a kid, I'd watch these sci-fi-monster movies, like Alien or whatever, and feel for the humans. Their curious nature does them in, despite taking reasonable precautions.



Well, I don't know if it's because I'm much older now, or if recent movies just suck, but I watched Life, which features an alien starfish floating around the ISS crushing people to death. And during the whole thing I couldn't help but think "If we're really THIS stupid, we deserve to have an alien lifeform wipe our dumb monkey-butts off the face of the Earth."



And Alien Covenant doesn't sound any better.

LOL - if they'd seen the 1st two alien movies, I suspect they'd have know better. But unfortunately they hadn't. And of course the captain had died in the freezer, so 2nd in command was in charge. Probably not as sharp/wary as the captain. David was looking out for the aliens, and not the colonists & crew. So there was a traitor in their midst. As is what happened in the 1st alien movie with Ash.



I thought the movie was good. But of course not up there with alien(s).

You realise they were all colonists right? Not people with specialist training. They see a planet which for all intents and purposes looks great, and land on it. Similar to how the first Alien plays out with the distress beacon. A lot of the David stuff could have been cut but I don't think it's anywhere near as bad as everyone says. It's not as good as it should have been

I always hated this smoking they had in the Alien movies, it is supposed to be in the future and smoking is stupid and will get banned or go out of fashion. Ha, Ha

Because when we are honest with ourselves, the Alien franchise sucks. The first two movies are phenomenal, but the rest range from OK (Alien 3, Prometheus) to godawful (Alien: Resurrection and any Alien movie with a Predator in it). 2-4 is not a good record. I am not interested in seeing any more of these tarnish the two great ones.

Prometheus had the same, they didn't care about alien life-forms having any sort of danger, then, oh dear - infection!
