I have a Netflix streaming plan, and before today, my subtitles were all in English. Now, my two options are Spanish and Portuguese. How can I get English as an option again?

Here's what I found...sounds fairly simple!

Step 1

Sign in to your Netflix account, and then open the Subtitles page to view movies and shows that include subtitles in a variety of languages (see link in Resources), or just click on "Subtitles & Captions" at the very bottom of the page.

Step 2

Select a language from the "Choose a Language" drop-down menu to see the movies that support that specific language.

Step 3

Scroll down the list of movies and TV shows and click the "Play" button next to the movie or TV show to watch.

Step 4

Click the "Subtitles" button located next to the Full-screen button on the video player to view the Audio and Subtitle options.

Step 5

Select the language to use from the "Subtitles" section. The subtitles start to appear on the video.

Same here on my LG TV and both my Bluray players (also LG). Looks like netflix is having a problem. UPDATE: Spoke with Netflix customer service and they are treating the problem as an "outage". They are working on the problem but have no ETA on when it will be fixed but they do know about it and are fixing it. Many people dont know this but Netflix is actually required to offer subtitles and closed captions due to a class action lawsuit. Unfortunately, other online services and companies have not put in the work like netflix to offer captioning to those of us in the Deaf and HH community. I was happy to hear that they are working on it. Without subtitles the service is useless to me.

while reading a book, you're stimulating your brain. You transform your literacy and reading skills and you along the way, are more literate. Even with today's modern tools, you nevertheless still need to have the ability to read.

While watching t.v. can be good fun, it is not doing anything to the human brain.
