the first HP film (16 Nov 2001) was good for two reasons, the book itself is quite small so they could fit most things into the movie and it provided a good introduction to the series
the second HP film was good also, maybe because Chris Columbus directed both, and it was released almost exactly year after the first one. (15 Nov 2002)
the third HP was released two years after the second, and this is where the problems started, it gained a new director Alfonso CuarĂ³n who did an alright job, but i was clear that the movie franchise was becoming a money maker and nothing more,
the forth HP film looked like a 10 year old read the book then summarised it in two hundred words to script writers who had never read it. this was when the directors and everyone involved began realised it doesn't matter how crap the movie is, millions of people will still see it, if only to ***** and moan about it
to me the 5th HP film was people seeing how far they could push the theory stated above, it was proved correct because it was the highest grossing box office out of the whole series. it was also half an hour shorter than chamber of secrets
the 6th HP looked like the script writers got the characters mixed up, (Ron and Lavanders stole Harry and Ginny's kiss) and the Harry Ginny relationship was the most awquard thing i have seen in my life. They (people involved with the movie) said that there was no fight scene because there was going to be a big castle fight scene in the 7th
it seems to me they are only churning the movies out because they are huge money makers (apparantly JK does'nt have enough) and not because it was a great series of books, which is why they made the first one
