what are good vampire movies to watch?

I'm really addicted to this tv serial "the vampire diaries" and the movie series "twilight saga". so i'm wondering if there are really good vampire movies because Delena can't get out of my head and I'm becoming frustrated to wait for new episodes of it (which is every thursday). help me :)

Well really don't think you'll like the more traditional vampire flicks if you watch The Vampire Diaries and Twilight saga no offense but those vampires are really made for the teen crowd, they're metrosexual sensitive vampires.



The others have mentioned some really good ones if you want to watch Vampires with a more dark twisted feel try the following:



Let the Right One In (Swedish) and the American remake - Let Me In

Near Dark

Interview With the Vampire

30 Days of Night

Dracula - the Francis Ford Coppola version with Gary Oldman



other than that someone mentioned True Blood which is pretty gory and f***d up all round for something that is shown on prime time tv.

I loved The twilight saga too before when its not so mainstream, and the likes, like vampire diaries, but really they're made for teenagers, not that they're bad.

If you're looking for REALLY good vampire flicks, I recommend Interview with the Vampire (its alos based on a novel by the great Anne Rice) and its sister movie The Queen of the Damned but watch Interview with the Vampire first coz its where the story starts. After watching it, I assure you, the other vampire characters you've watched before will instantly be out of your mind, coz Lestat and Louis in Interview w/ the Vampire are the hottest vampires ever, and if you're a vampire movie lover, its a MUST.

Vampire Lovers (1970). Gotta like the ladies in this one.
