Question:
Which movies do you think have featured the most graphic rape scenes?

I tried a similar question and only got one answer supported by an actual movie scene. Folks, I'd love to hear if you think rape scenes are gratuitous, but tell me the movie and scene that put it over the top for you.

It doesn't matter if it's a female or male victim, I'd like to hear your thoughts on the most graphic movie rape scene you've ever seen. And then feel free to say whether you thought it was gratuitous or was germane to the plot or progressing the storyline.

Try looking up Monica Bellucci in the movie Irreversible, it was the main scene in the movie and it was definitely germane to the plot, the whole story line revolved around that scene.

But that scene was really creepy and I can't even imagine watching it again, it was so real and it just sends shivers down my spine every time I think about it. I had to forward the DVD because the whole scene was around 9 - 10 mins long.

Definitely very graphic and very, very, very disturbing. But I think that movie made the point that it wanted to make.

Anything on film seems to glorify whatever is being shown, even if it is bad or wrong. Violence, suicide, war, rape, drugs, smoking...there is an old movie about a girl that gets raped and takes revenge on each of her rapists, I forget the name of the movie{figures!} but at least the deaths of the rapists were just as horrifically violent as the rape. Rape has no place in society, whether it be on film, audio, illustrated or in real life. I am a survivor and am always offended when rape is shown. If it is part of the story it would do better for all the viewers and the plot if it were inferred instead of spelled out. If a person gets their kicks from rape they need to be removed from society like child molesters!!!!!

I Spit on Your Grave

The whole storyline is about this woman getting gang raped and then taking revenge on her rappers. This has to be the most graphic I've ever seened.

monster, although the movie had high ratings. The rape scene was a little too much. I hate when movies have a graphic rape scene because it ruins the movie for me.

Ned Beaty squeeling like a pig in Deliverance. ( deserved an oscar )

Rape scene in Clockwork Orange where the husband was forced to watch. ( singing in the rain )

Robert DiNero raped and savagely beat Nick Nolti's secretary in Cape Fear ( she was starting to get on my nerves anyway )

Some US Calvary soldiers gang raped a Native American woman in Soldier Blue. ( sick stuff )

Almost rape scene in Alien 3 where the prisoner was about to give it to Ripley so hard that he put on goggles first.

I spit on your grave is my all time favorite!!!! Simply because the girl kills the bastards at the end and she makes sure they suffer >:) I wish every girl who gets raped can do that but unfortunately they would be convicted of murder >:( I personally think it should be legal >:) at least chopping a guys dick off...... self defense right?

Only one I can think of is in Derailed but it wasn't to bad and it went with the plot so I didn't mind after I watched the whole flim.

Just out of curiosity, why are you asking this question? It is kind of ... unusual to be asking this question. I have wondered about it myself. Personally I have been raped by 2 different men (when I was 4 - molestation over a period of a couple of months and when I was 33 - date rape), and I have wondered what other people have gone through when they were raped. I know it doesn't compare to real life, but, I guess I would still like to see it.

The movies mentioned above are all good, there is also "The Accused" with Jodi Foster.
