Harry Potter/Sirius Black question?

I just watched Prisoner of Azkaban and I'm so confused as to how Sirius Black is not guilty... Why did he and the werewolf professor act like they wanted to kill Harry? Sirius was all like Lets kill him Ive waited long enough, ...or something like that? I understand Pettigrew is guilty but I'm confused with the whole Sirius and professor thing... Please explain? Thank you!! :)

Sirius black is talking about wanting to kill Peter Pettigrew who was their old friend. Whats not very clearly expained in the movie is that when Harry's dad James was at hogwarts he and his friends called themselves the marauders (i.e. Marauders map). James Potter (nickname prongs), Sirius Black (Padfoot), Remus Lupin (the professor whose nickname was Moony), and Peter Pettigrew (Wormtail). Before Voldemort killed Lily and James they went into hiding. There is a person who they choose to be a secret keeper of sorts. He was the only one who could tell people were lily and james lived. But last minute Sirius suggested that they should change the secret keeper to Peter who would be less likely to be sought out by Voldemort cause sirius's family was well known in the dark arts. But nobody new that they changed secret keepers except Lily, James, Sirius, and Peter.



So when Voldy killed Lily and James, Sirius realized it had to be Peter who betrayed his best friend. Sirius sought him out and was threatening to kill Peter for what he did and accusing of of working for Voldemort. But instead Peter killed a bunch of muggles and cut off his thumb and then turned into his animagus form of a rat. He pretty much made it look like Sirius did it leaving sirius to be arrested and placed in azkaban where the only thing that kept him from going crazy was the fact that he was innocent. Finally he realized that Peter was seen in the picture of Ron and his family in Egypt where he then plans his escape.



So while they are in the Shrieking Shack, Sirius is angry and he finally has Peter, he wants revenge and he wants it now. He was in Azkaban 13 years and pretty much was just plain pissed. But the reason Sirius and Lupin (the professor) seem so chummy, he because they were best friends. And Lupin realized that he was innocent after seeing pettigrews name on the map. Now they both want revenge. Oh, and James, Peter, and Sirius became animagus to help remus through his wolfy problem, to keep him company during transformations. They were unregistered animagus.

You should read the books, they're good. Anyway. I forget the exact details, but Sirius and the professor and Harry's dad where friends as kids. (and pettigrew was in their group of friends too). Then the dark lord rose to power and everyone had to pick sides. Pettigrew served under the dark lord, while the professer and Harry's dad, and sirius fought on the good side. Pettigrew killed a whole bunch of people when harry was a baby, and sirius got blamed. So when they where talking about "killing Him" they were talking about the rat in harry's hand that was really pettigrew

Harry Potter was under the impression that Sirius Black was to blame for the death of his parents.This is because he overheard the story being told by people who also thought this, but were wrong.



Remus Lupin (the werewolf), Sirius Black, Peter Pettigrew and Harry's Father, James Potter, were all friends in school. It was Pettigrew's fault that the Potters died, but Sirius was wrongly accused and jailed for the crime. When he escapes, he is going mad saying "Lets kill him..." etc but he is meaning Pettigrew, who he wants to kill because of betrayal. He is not talking about killing Harry. Professor Lupin is keeping a cool head trying to restrain him.

Sirius, Lupin, Pettigrew (Ron's rat Scabbers) and Harry's father (James) were all friends during school. When Lily and James got married they foudn out Harry was in danger of an attack from Voldemort. So they made Sirius their secret keeper (so that only Sirius could tell someone where they were in hiding). Sirius knew that Voldemort would come looking for him so he passed the information to Pettigrew because Sirius knew that Voldemort wouldn't go after someone James wasn't as close to. Pettigrew then betrayed Lilly and James by telling Voldemort where to find them. After the murder Sirius tracked down Pettigew and tried to kill him. Pettigrew got away but only after killing 13 muggles and framed Sirius for the killing.



Sirius wanted to kill Pettigrew because number one he was a traitor and number two because he was already convicted of murder.

They were talking about ron's rat, who was an animagus called Peter Pettigrew. The rat was sitting in Ron's hand at the time and so the two were speaking about the rat. Sirius only wanted to prove his innocence but Lupin wanted to explain the situation to Harry. Ron wouldn't hand the rat over willingly as he was Scabbers, who Ron had grown up with. So Sirius took the rat and transformed it back into Pettigrew.

Remember that when sirius dragged ron into the shrieking shack he was after peter(the rat) which was the one they were talking about killing it was just made to look like they were talking about harry. Sirius had waited long enough to kill peter pettigrew not harry.

They weren't talking about Harry, they were talking about Scabbers, the rat (Peter Pettigrew in his animagus form). I guess it built suspense to make it look like Sirius and Lupin were bad for those who didn't read the book.
