Who does a better Star Wars parody: Family Guy or Robot Chicken?

They both are made by and include 2 Seths: MacFarlane and Green. Both around the anniversary of a Star Wars flick! Both parodies of Star Wars, the greatest film fantasy of all time! Since it is a flawless classic, it is pretty challenging to poke fun at such a phenomenon! So, two popular shows volunteered: The Simpsons wannabe, Family Guy, and the R-rated stop motion Robot Chicken! But who does it better? Family Guy, the show that centers a dysfunctional family (again, Simpsons freaking wannabe!) and pokes fun at pop culture almost every episode, OR, Robot Chicken, the show that does nothing but pokes fun at pop culture! At the end of each Family Guy Star Wars parody, they have the same argument! Peter tries to hide the fact that he's jealous, and Chris gets ticked off! So, which parody is better: Family Guy or Robot Chicken? And why?

Me: Robot Chicken by a landslide! As funny as Family Guy is, let's face it, their parody is more of a re-hash than a parody. I mean it's basicly a Star Wars remake with Family Guy characters who make wise cracks now and then. But Robot Chicken, now that's a different story! They actually make jokes about the problems of Star Wars, have "what ifs", poke fun at the average Lucas hater's pinion, etc. So Robot Chicken anyday!

ps I think The Simpsons should have a Star Wars episode! Don't you? I mean, why should FG and RC hace all the fun? Huh?

They really are quite different in the way they've parodied. So it's hard to compare such contrasting styles.

But Robot Chicken.

Thank You for putting in the part about being a "rehash" ive seen 2 of the 3 I guess they have, and they treat it just like everything else they do. Its not a spoof, its not a parody, they just pretty much do a scene for scene recreation with their own cast. Then occasionally throw in a funny line or even go as far as to just straight up tell you something that was weird in the original, they don't expect you to figure anything out they just tell you.

Granted it can be funny sometimes, its like...come on you could do this a little better.

They were both hilarious. I liked the Family Guy parody. I especially liked how at the end of the episode Peter was making fun of Robot Chicken and Chris (Seth Green) was defending it. Classic!
