Bah! I can't sleep now!?

I saw a scary movie(you should know what it is) and now I cant sleep? Anyone wanna help? :(

You probably watched Paranormal Activity, right? Personally, I didn't find it scary at all. Seemed like a low budget attempt. Tips: Reasure yourself that it was just a movie, keep the nightlight on, invite a friend for a sleep over, get a cuddle buddy, close your eyes and say "You are not real, you are not there" until the evil ghosts go away. Haha. I saw that movie on Friday and I got no sleep. Im still really freaked out, and for some reason I havent been able to sleep in my own room[Ive been sleeping in the living room with my brother and sister:)] but last night, even though I was still scared from the movie, I tried pretending like I had never seen it. I had the TV on to something I liked, and although the movie was still in my head, I tried to n ot focuse myself on any big scary scenes in it. Cuz there were scenes that made me burst into tears just from fear [like the part where she says she wants to stay in the house and she smiles, everyone was screaming on that part] I just kept my mind of that stuff.

Filmed completely in the director's house.

The director purposely used no-name actors so that it would be more convincing.

Steven Spielberg saw it and was just as freaked out as you and I!

lol you should not be scared. Everyone knows scary movies are fake but if you seriously really are scared what u should do is if u are by a bathroom or something put the light on or seriously get a night light and use it, i do that all the time when i am scared and once u get really tired to where u arent scared anymore just turn it off and go back to sleep.

Was it paranormal activity? I saw that movie Friday night and I couldn't sleep either! Every little sound freakd me out! I just called my friend and we talked on the phone. It helped me not feel 'alone'.

That's completely normal...When I watch a scary as hell movie I usually turn on the lamp by my bed so Im not in complete darkness...but that's very rare. I barely get scared by these movies...But try to take your mind off it as best you can and think of something else and try to go to sleep.

The night i saw that movie kept me awake all night.

The reason is, the movie torments your mind in other words it has your mind in a state where is scared the heck of its wits.

Best advice is to watch a comedy movie or a show online, or anything else that is at least one hour long.... to keep your mind calm.
