Any Disney fan sort of disappointed by "Frozen" and other CGI movies??? :O?

Okay, so I am sort of weary towards the new CGI/3D/NON-hand-drawn Disney movies and other non Disney movies that do the same thing. I know, it's faster, it's cheaper, blah blah blah, but is there anybody out there that want to see more hand drawn movies again, and most importantly, ANYBODY kind of "disappointed" by Disney's "Frozen??"

Here's why, well, MY VIEW OF THE STORY: One, Elsa and Anna.... well... idk.... their faces resemble Rapunzel's image, but it's Anna that I'm kinda like "wtf?" Same big eyes but different color. Same small mouths. Same HUGE head with their small body. Sure, they're both blonde, BUT they got different shades of blonde, and Rapunzel is sort of tan while Anna is luminous/pale. They're not totally identical or exactly the same if you look closely, but their facial features and bodies resemble each other pretty good.

Finally, what's the whole point of making these 3D princesses and then transforming them into 2D?? LOL like, damn, "fitting in with the other chicks." Sure. But as I said, it makes no sense. Especially for Merida. Why make her 3D appearance tomboyish and then her 2D self so "alluring..." No point.... like none....... LOL that's just my thought.

I don't mean to hate or anything. I have hope for Frozen, maybe it MIGHT turn out to be good, maybe not as good as Tangled, but we shall see. But when I saw the trailer, it didn't have that classical feel.

If only Disney and other animation studios or whatever they're called could just return to hand drawn classics once in a while. Don't completely get rid of CGI movies, but s**t, at least make some hand drawn movies, too!!!! Yeahhhh THAT'D be great. I still have hope for Frozen...... we shall see what awaits :)

First of all, Disney has only released a small handful of CGI movies since their last hand-drawn, one The Princess and the Frog. I, for one, have no problem with it. CGI entails a whole other level of visual dynamic. A Disney movie doesn't have to be hand-drawn to have that ageless magical feel. Tangled, for example, (one of my very favorite movies), is CGI, but still has that true Disney princess feel.

Secondly, I have actually done my research. I am a Disney princess fanatic, and knew about Frozen 8 months ago when only concept art was being released. I have read the first portions of the story and am as familiar as one can be with the characters. The trailer is meant to reach a broad spectrum of potential viewers. Therefore, they included a bit of every taste in it-- humor, mystery, romance, thrill, suspense, as well as child appeal, which is very important. The trailer that was released in other languages is a different one-- it shows a more "epic" side, if you will, and has much less dialogue.

As for resemblance to Rapunzel, I have analyzed their faces, comparing them.

Rapunzel: Large circular green eyes. Very long golden-blonde hair (then short, brown, layered hair). No bangs. Button-like nose. Thin to medium lips (naturally a fleshy light pink). Rounded heart-shaped face. Medium to fair skin. No rosiness to cheeks.

Anna: Large, almond, cat-like blue eyes. Medium to long strawberry blonde (almost red) hair (official sources say "strawberry blonde", however). Bangs. Small, but roundly pointed nose. Thin lips with a subtle, pointed heart shape (naturally dark pink/red). Rounder face with defined cheekbones. Medium to fair skin. Rosy cheeks.

They look way different.

I am not worried at all about Frozen. I am incredibly excited about it. I know it will be another example of everything we've loved Disney for since its creation. The 11 (soon to be 12, perhaps 13 if Elsa becomes one as well) Disney princesses share a common air of mystifying, royal magic, but each is still very unique in her own ways.

I really miss hand drawn animated Disney movies. Look how beautiful and at the same time meaningful the Princess and the frog is. They say they draw inspiration from studio Ghibli's Hayao Miyazaki films. Why not start by patiently crafting magnificent artworks for a start?

You're right. I, too didn't enjoy Tangled as much as I would want. Mostly because Rapunzel is such a picture of innocent perfection: she does chores in 15 minutes(relevantly no one can cover that much space within 20 min even if they sweep everyday, and I haven't included the mobbing and waxing and "shining up"), bakes, sews, knits, paints, sings, do astronomy, etc. She is the most flawless Disney princess to date that I couldn't relate to her at all. I truly want to say I like her character like people do, but I would be lying.

I liked Frozen but am a tad disappoited by it,too. It was in fact the first movie I see in the theatre since summer. Uber excited. It was brilliant indeed only not as much i 'd thought.
