1. The Philosopher's Stone:
As this was the introduction to the amazing Harry Potter series, and the movie itself was more closely related to the book than any of the others, in my opinion that is. Also I found Voldemort more frightening and scary looking in this than he was in any of the other movies, and finally the Dumbledore in this movie was perfect, it was sad that he died may he R.I.P
2. Deathly Hallows part 2:
Although they missed quite a few elements of the book within the movie I loved the final battle, I understand why it was made how it was, due to the fact that it had to be made fit for the eyes of children and the way they still managed to create an epic battle and portray it to the youth earns it second place.
3. Goblet of Fire:
This is third in my list because of the suspense and tension created by the emotions and experiences of the characters, it was the first time Harry and Ron had actually stopped talking to each other and it felt weird because it wasn't something we thought would happen but that was only a small percentage of the reason the majority was obviously because of the Triwizard tournament and the rise of Voldemort again.
4. The Prisoner of Azkaban:
This movie was not the best in the series but far from the worst, the way the director managed to capture the conception of the book and make it into a movie should be reason enough for it to deserve this place as although the movie missed quite a few key parts of the book, I doubt any Potter fan would disagree with me when I say that the director did a good job in making the movie as the concept of the time turner was not one easily understood and the amount of factors he missed and still managed to make the movie how it turned out to be solely gives it fourth place.
5. Half blood Prince:
Although I had read the book on numerous occasions before the movie had been released the death of Dumbledore released a fresh wave of emotion, this movie missed many things in the book which is why i have put it in fifth place but it also had it's moments when it portrayed certain scenes to near perfection such as the death of Dumbledore.
6. The Chamber of Secrets:
I have put the chamber of secrets in sixth place as I never really liked it as much as the other movies, I loved the book however this is a list based on movie ratings, many other fans would disagree with me saying that it deserves to be higher on the list, but personally I didn't find it quite as appeasing as the others, it was a great movie dont get me wrong but just not my cup of tea so therefore it has received sixth place.
7. Deathly Hallows part 1:
I myself as a hardcore potter fan was dissapointed with this movie as it was not what I had expected, I mean waiting till midnight to watch the first premier of the Deathly Hallows was exceptionally high on my to do list last year and I cant actually put it in to words how devastated I was, I mean it was a good movie but I guess I had set my bar of standards a tad high and will always remember when I watch the movie what I had expected and how wrong I was as it was one of the best books and I expected the movie to also live up to that reputation but alas in my opinion it failed.
8. Order of the Phoenix:
Now as a so called hardcore Potter fan I can with support from other fans say this was by far the worst of the franchise, the amount of details and scenes that were missed in this movie is unfathomable, I mean fair enough the other movies may have missed quite a few minor details and one or two major parts of the books, but this movie managed to miss just as much minor details as major and therefore is definitely at the bottom of the list.
I Hope you enjoyed my insight of what I thought the best to worst movies were and I guess you can tell from the examples I gave that I am a Harry Potter fan. I hope this helps on understanding the opinion of a huge Potter fan :)
