What are some cool horror movies without slutty girls and college kids?

As a female fan of horror I'm tired of every horror film having the same things! Dumb kids and half naked women being hacked to death. It's boring.

I understand completely, why do I have to see boobs and a bong for it to be a horror flick!? Though these aren't rampage blood and gut I like there to be a little bit to think about afterwords so maybe some of these will be to your taste.



Here's a few I like:

Sleepy Hallow- A classic

Seven- Very Mature not lacking substance

Thirteen Ghosts- a few boobs but not in an erotic way though there is a lot of blood.

1408- makes you think

The others- not horror completely but still pretty good comparatively

Secret Window- Underrated in my opinion

The Silence of the Lambs- Just brilliant

Jeepers Creepers- Don't watch the second though it'll just disappoint you

Slaughter- Not blood and guts twist at the end

The Decent- One of my top picks, though a very dark movie.



Maybe you'll love them maybe you'll hate them, either way I hope I helped..

Hatchet - now there are 2 dumb sl*ts in this but it's not what you think, they are there to make fun of that whole thing in horror.

You have probably seen both The Exorcist and Rosemary's Baby (most classic horror so I won't list it)

Freaks - there's kind of a sl*t in this but I don't think it counts

The Last House on the Left - okay so this has a college kid aged cast, but d*mn it is brutal. I am talking about the original not the much more tame remake.

Cube - love this movie

Henry Portrait of a Serial Killer - not my fav but it is good

Man Bites Dog - great movie

Frailty - not horror to me but many count it as one

im not a big fan of horror movies that r bloody and stuff.

but ive seen a few ones that i like.

and they dont have sluts or frat boys in them (thank god).

its about a guy who goes to a hotel room (number 1408) and a bunch of scary stuff starts happening.

its really spooky, great special effects and very unpredictable.

i liked it :)

not really a horror film, more of a psychological thriller. but still good.

its about a guy who reads a book and then gets obsessed with the number 23.

really interesting, cause when u start thinking about it 23 is everywhere. seriously!

I am not sure if you will like this...because you say horror film and that usually means blood and murder slasher type stuff. But have you ever watched Angel Heart? It has Robert Deniro and Mickey Rourke in it made in the 80's . Great movie,

The Shining is the best horror movie I've seen. Jack Nicholson is in it, and Stanley Kubrick is the director. It's nothing like those college hack and slash movies.
